Mature and explicit content. Not recommended for readers below 18-years-old. Yup, you've got to be that old to read my story. Consider yourself warned.

I’m Dakota Collins, a tough talking, eye patch wearing, workaholic photography student. Why am I important? Well, maybe because I get to spend an entire month with Vicious, only the sickest indie rock band out there.

Erm, what the what?!

I mean, what was this actually about?! I thought I liked it until the end and then I was like...

...where did that come from. I know this is supposed to be a non-sequel to some other book, but literally in the last 5 pages we have this (view spoiler)element come into play and now I have no answers to questions I didn't even know existed. And I'm left confused because what was the point in this whole book?! Apart from her taking pictures with the ba
My first Kate Evangelista book was Taste, you can read what Tanja and I thought about it over on Ja čitam, a ti? - so when I got invite to join Savor blog tour, it was a done deal. What I did not know is that Savor is non-sequel for Taste. What does that mean? First, you don't have to read Taste before Savor. Story is completely different no matter the fact that it's about same characters. Second, Taste is young adult, and Savor is not. Third? I believe in Kate and I know that her sequels will e ...more

Oh. Stupid. Me. Stupid, brainless me. I went through this whole entire book absolutely in love with the story. Couldn't have asked for a better read. In fact I really looked forward to this one because the author's other book TASTE was so darn amazing. I knew I would get a fabulous, well written read with this one, too, and I did. But why am I so clueless? Because I didn't link SAVOR and TASTE together until after I fini

I read this up to 44% and then skimmed the rest

The fact that this is the continuation of Taste but in another person's point of view while showing us how their lives have changed since their zombie days is really cool, but the book ended up being quite dull :(

I also really liked the author's decision on making this a New Adult book but when I finished I felt like it wasn't quite New Adult, more like a Young Adult book trying to be a New Adult.

I missed the Paranormal aspect of the first book; I d

First of I shall start with the cover. Kate Evangelista's books never fail when it comes to the covers. All that I've seen and read had this amazing art on them. But for me the best thing is that they're always connected to the story itself. So, yes this beautiful dress appears in the story.

But we'll get to that. At the start we meet Dakota our main character in this story. She is a photography student who has a great eye for a photography and extraordinary

The book took my interest from the begining!
I read it in the blink of an eye.
It was over so soon...

I loved how Dakota didn't give a damn about other people's opinions. I loved her sassiness and how she accepted herself.
And Luka.. My poor Luka. He messed up big time with Dakota and I hope he will realise that Pheonix is with Demitry and that there is nothing he can do about it so he can move on and apologise to Dakota and live happily ever after with her.
Loved how Pheonix accepted herself and he

LOVED this book and am only pissed that I have to wait for book 2. I NEED it, Kate!!! Like, now!

Whoa! Updated to say now I'm more confused than ever. I just finished reading Taste by Evangelista which is the story of Phoenix, Dimitri and Luka while they are still in high school. I am terribly confused with how Taste ended and how Savor ended. There is apparently a ton of angst and strife that occurs between Phoenix, Luka and Dimitri between Taste and Savor. S

As soon as I heard that Kate Evangelista was writing a NA novel I just knew I had to read it! It's not just that I was dying to read something new and fresh in this genre that seems to recycle the same topics again and again, it was also the fact that Kate Evangelista managed to grab my attention even from her very first novel so reading her new story was a must for me!

And yes, Kate just blew me away once more with Savor! I have to admit that I didn't

If you do not have enough time to read my review, I can summarize it for you in six words: You. Have. To. Read. This. Book.

Savor is amazing and very addictive. I kid you not when I say it’s difficult to suck me in a book completely these days, but this one did just that. It may be the author’s awesome writing, or the interesting concept of the book, or the badass heroine, or just simply all of the above.

I find Dakota Collins a badass character. It’s the way she sounds in the book. It’s very

For anyone thinking of reading this book, let me save you the time. Absolutely nothing happens in this book....or better stated, nothing is REVEALED in this book. So little happens through the entire thing, and what kept me going was finally getting some answers in the end. What do you get in the end? A bunch of loose strings and no more information than you had to begin with.

First, you get to meet Dakota and she is super mysterious because she has an eye patch and scars all over her body. And y

So I honestly had no idea what I was getting into when I picked up this book. From what I now understand it is a spin off from her Young Adult book Taste. I haven’t read Taste so I really had no clue what to expect from Savor, but good thing is you don’t need to read Taste to understand the events in Savor. However, I definitely want to go back and read Taste now because Savor was such a good read. I was hooked from beginning to end. Also did I men

'Savor' is the first book in a New Adult paranormal/horror romance series that follows leading lady Dakota Collins as she follows the indie rock band Vicious around and takes their picture. Dakota needed a subject for her Spring Showcase in order to graduate from college, and when she laid eyes on the sexy bass player, Luka Visraya, she knew she wanted nothing but him for her subject of the project. Miraculously, Luka said 'yes' to her proposal and now she's signed a contract to photogr

Let me just cry myself a river.

So that I can drown myself... From this terrible disappointment.

It's been about three years since I've read Taste, and back then, I absolutely loved it. I didn't care much for the protagonist, but I literally obsessed over Luka for more than weeks after finishing the book. (You can imagine how irritated one of my best friends was, whose name also happens to be Luka.)

So when the author planned Savor, I praised her like a goddess and thought that my prayers had been

I decided to read this book for the blog tour basically because I liked Taste, which is not a part of the series but it does feature a lot of the characters from that book, like Phoenix, Demitri, Dray, Yana and of course Luka but not the main character. Do you have to read Taste to read Savor? No, but it's nice to have read about these characters when they were younger.

I really, really liked this book. I actually liked it more than Taste to be honest. Is it because Kate's books are getting bette

Holy cliffhanger, Batman! I didn’t see that ending coming and that’s what made it so thrilling. I cursed in shock then I saw the epilogue and hoped for some answers and found none. The sneak peak for book #2 followed and by then I was pacified. In all, Ms Evangelista’s evil scheme (just kidding) worked because no reader in their right mind would stop at this book and not find out what happens next.

Okay first I have to say that Kate is freaking amazing like totally amaze balls with this series. If you have not read any of her books you are doing yourself a disservice because she is one hot smoking mama when it comes to writing paranormal. If you have read her other book TASTE you will thoroughly enjoy this one because my friends the bassist Luka from this book is one and the same from TASTE and if you loved him in that book he is even more yummy in this book because it is his story with a ...more

I adored Taste, Evangelista's novel about zombies and the human girl who found her way into their world. Well, Savor brings back some of those characters - only now they're in a rock band, topping the charts, but still keeping secrets. That being said, it isn't necessary to read Taste to enjoy Savor.

Savor is told from the perspective of the eye patch wearing, tell it like she sees it, passionate Dakota. We follow her as she falls down the rabbit hole, falls into the strange, crazy, addictive wo

Savor is told by Dakota Collins, our photography student and eye patch wearin' MC as she prepares to graduate from college. On a job for the school paper, Dakota has a once in a lifetime meeting with the world famous rock band, Vicious whose bassist Luka Visraya is smokin' hot (okay, the whole band is smokin' hot) and difficult to figure out and she ends up getting th

Hi guys!!! you can view my review now! Home of a Book Lover

Before I proceed to my review, I want to praise the cover of the book, personally, I am very attracted to it. I like the color scheme and the designs, I love this just like Taste I really thought this book is the next sequel but I was wrong. I fell in love with the cover right away and now to deal with the content, I don’t know exactly how I am going to describe my feelings (to Luka? Just kidding haha). This book has a good story and a
Love it then! Love it now! I read this last year and since Relish is here I wanted to reread this in order to get more Luka fix, since Relish with be the last book. I love the story and the mystery that surrounds it. It's not really paranormal IMO (well not until the end or if you have a background of Taste) it's more of a love story. And yes, it's for the mature audience as compared to Kate Evangelista's other books but it's not that "mature" wherein you get to read sex in every chapter. It has ...more

Evangelista’s novel is an emotional ride wrought with snappy conversations, a realistic family dynamic between the bandmates, and a heroine so strong-willed yet vulnerable that one roots for her happiness.

Okay, I have to start out by saying that this is not really book #1 in a series - it's a sequel to Taste. I really wish I would have known that because I think I might have liked this book a lot more if I'd read Taste first (of course this is just conjecture since I had no idea that Taste existed until after I finished Savor). I can kind of see how this qualifies as a separate series (since it's told from a new char

This book is very moving. It literally caught me. I rushed to a bookstore to grab the book 2 the same day I finished it. It was the first book, I finished reading this new year. Hooray!

Like Dakota, I want answers as well. I hope I'll have them in a relishing way ;)

(I was given an e-copy of this book by the author, in exchange for an honest review.)

Having reviewed Taste a couple of years ago, I was intrigued by the premise of this novel, wondering how it tied into it, and what role would the characters play in it. I'll get back to this at the end of my review, but for the moment, I'd simply advise that: if you haven't read the "prequel" yet, it's probably best not to do it right now, and focus on Savor instead.

I'm going to start with one problematic thing

I am a big Kate Evangelista fangirl and am very grateful that she's within driving distance in case I have the urge to stalk and fangirl all over her and after reading this book, I'm sure that some excitement release is overdue... preferably with Luka. (If he's not busy or anything.)

It felt so great to finally get back to Kate Evangelista's Taste world... oh crap, I'm not really there am I. What is this confusion? There were literally parts wherein I was just trying to figure out what was going
