This was okay but...I'm really fed up with multi partnered relationships. I don't buy that these three people will ever be able to maintain a relationship where they are sharing this supposedly submissive woman. Raine doesn't strike me as being truly submissive, she's too damaged and does not strike me as a woman willing to give up her power to any man, after the abuse heaped upon her by her father. And the manipulation by Liam with Raine was beyond low. (view spoiler) ...more

A great follow up to book one! The roller coaster of emotions Macen, Liam, and Raine all go through had me hooked from the first. I cried, laughed, and smiled as I became a voyeur on their continued journey, but the surprise ending, completely knocked my socks off. I can't wait for the next book now!

"No matter what you think, I've always wanted you, Raine. From the very minute I laid eyes on you. ~ Liam O'Neill

"I've tried to voice how I feel about you. I'm still not sure you actually understand how strong my feelings have become, but now isn't the time for talking. Open yourself to me and let me show you." ~ Liam O'Neill

"Everything that happened today tells me that you're right. I should have confessed my feelings a long time ago. I just let all the other fears and bullshit get in the way.
Holy crap! This book was so filled with drama! Every chapter had some new dramatic, angsty plot line going on. Jealousy, despair, hopelessness, anger, love. I almost couldn't keep track of it all.
"The image seared itself into her head and blew her away-between them she looked fairer, smaller. Them surrounding her, muscled, male, and determined. Possession stamped on their faces."

"It might take both of you to reach her."

FINAL DECISION:  In this book, the two men competing for Raine's heart must put aside their differences to help her.  I enjoyed how these three characters are changing and growing (unevenly and painfully).  This book is only a part of Raine, Macen and Liam's journey and should be approached as such.

THE STORY: This book continues the story of Raine, Macen and Liam.  As the prior book ended, the two men were engaged in a competition to win the woman they bo

There is so much going on in this book. It picks up right where One Dom to Love leaves us. Hammer (Macen) and his non ability to tell Raine how he feels about her, Liam collaring and training Raine, and Raine being in love with both men. There is so many emotions associated with this trio with all their ups and downs. They are all fighting for the same goal, but can they trust enough to do get there together? Just when y

This book picks up right after the end of One Dom to Love. Raine still has her walls up; she is in love with both Liam and Hammer and doesn’t know what to do. Liam and Hammer are still at each other’s throats and both are in love with her. There is a lot of bickering, arguing, lack of trust and of course hot steamy sex! We find out more about Hammer and why he is the way he is. We see more of Beck, who I love an

I'm so glad that this book didn't keep going in the same vein as the first half. The first half basically had Hammer and Liam each grabbing Raine's arm, pulling her to them, all the while yelling "Mine", jerking Raine back and forth. It got old so fast. I didn't fault Raine for leaving, for thinking that was her only choice. While I didn't think running away was the answer, I did like the results of it.

For me the stars of the book were Beck and Seth. I loved how these 2 men were able to calm Ra

I loved this book - although I have a soft spot for Hammer, I'm glad things began to work out between them all.

I began the first book thinking this was going to be another series of different characters, but was soo pleased to see that their story had further to go. That you go to see much much more of them develop and grow.

I still think the initial scene when Raine propositions Hammer has got to be the best part of the books so far - hot, intense and sets up the rest of their story. I can't wa

OK. so i gave this book only three stars only because I was about at the end of my rope with Raine and her CONSTANT running away and whining. I fully understand she had early childhood traumas to come to terms with but my god, her whining and running away never. ever. stopped.

The story itself was still very good. I loved getting more behind-the-scenes with Hammer & Liam in regards to their friendship. I absolutely ADORE Beck and Seth and wholeheartedly want a book each on those two.

This books picks up where the first one leaves off. Lots of angst, misunderstandings and insecurites abound in Liam, Riane and Hammer.

Raine loves both men but is fearful of what the future will bring. She tries to be a good sub, but can't help but tests Liam's control. Liam knows that Raine has feelings but Hammer, the prick who only wants her now that she has moved on.
Hammer needs Raine and blames Liam for stealing her from him.

The only way to make Raine happy and to keep her is for Liam and

OMG! Where do I begin? I loved Macen and Liam from the beginning and now Raine has worked her way into my heart. I have loved their journey to each other, laughing, crying, screaming and yelling right along with them.

Thank you ladies for another fantastic story!

Now I have two questions; when is the next one coming out and can I be in the middle of Seth and Beck? :)

Macen and Liam work really hard as Doms to get Raine to submit to them. This means they have to actually work together to give Raine what he wants and needs. Will they be able to do that ? Are they too stubborn to give ? Will Raine finally lower her walls that have protected her since childhood ? This book is a continuation of book one.

This is the second book in this trilogy it picks up right where book one left off. Raine is with Liam she is his collared submissive but part of her is still in love with Macen it prevents her from acting the way she should. She keeps things from Liam and distracts him when he asks something she doesn’t want to talk about. It is the week of Thanksgiving and she still hasn’t gotten her period she could be pregnant with Macen’s baby while collared to Liam. What a mess that would be. She and Macen ...more

This is the second book in a contemporary BDSM menage romance and is best enjoyed when read in order.

Raine has spent six years in love with her dark knight, Macen "Master Hammer" Hammerman, ever since he took her in off the streets when she escaped her abusive father's attempted rape. Hammer may run a BDSM dungeon, but he'd never force a partner--and he's never wanted to abuse petite Raine. He's loved her, but fears his own dark desire might be too much for her. Plus, she's now connecting with

The second in the series, and having just finished it I am desperate to get my hands on book three! I think that the story is strong, the lead characters are hot, flawed, fascinating and ... getting there, finally. This book is better than the last, as all three of them admit or recognise what they want, what they might achieve, and what that means for each other. The two foils, Seth and Beck are a brilliant plot device, a

Picking up from book 1 well were filled with another book of so much drama it was never ending.

Raine didnt feel like she could open up and be honest, as a submissive she couldn't give her whole self or her trust over to her Dom Liam.

I didnt find her to be a good submissive she seriously tried to top from the bottom in every scene and Liam was a weak Dom.

Then we add the third Dom Hammer and now they want to share her as she's not complete without them both, yet they dispise the love the other

The Young and the Submissive is book #2 in The Doms of her Life series. The authors, Shayla Black, Jenna Jacob and Isabella LaPearl have once again done an excellent job combining their talents and imaginations to present a blockbuster story to their readers. The book is well-written with compelling and soul-searching emotional scenes with the three main characters, Doms Hammer and Liam and the submissive Raine. It was gut-wrenching reading about Raine's abuse at her father's hands. The efforts ...more

I quite enjoyed The Young & The Submissive, I think a bit more than One Dom to Love. The outstanding moments in this second book were hands down the moments Hammer and Liam were able to put aside their differences for Raine. At the end of the day, her safety, her happiness, is what matters. Not their egos, not their pride. It’s what will make her happy, what will make everyone happy and safe. It took some time to get there, and there are no illusions that this will remain this way, but event ...more

This book seemed to lose traction for me - oh, don't get me wrong; there's plenty of hot, steamy action - but the plot just lost some of the impetus. This book continues where the first one One Dom to Love (and isn't it clever that all the titles are plays on soap operas? Even the title of the series? Yeah, me too) left off. Raine and Macen and Liam are trying to work out their relationship. Well, who couldn't see this one from a mile off? They eventually decide that maybe they could do this as ...more

I enjoyed the first book...and this one picks up right were the first left off. But I didn't connect this time.

I liked Liam for Rain. I would have been happy if she had ended up with just Liam.

This time around, the focus was on fixing Rain. What that girl needed was a shrink, not 2 jealous doms...who both wanted her for themselves.

This is not how I like my poly books. If your going to be a triad relationship, you should all love each other. I prefer it with a little m/m action, but it's not requ

Outstanding! This second book, The Young and the Submissive, is devoted to working on being open, honest and communicating with words. The detailed writing of the scenes are so well constructed that I felt like a voyeur. The build-up and tearing down of emotional walls...redirecting negative beliefs into beautiful truths was done without negative thought.

I loved how Raine's fears and desires were addressed without demoralizing her. Hammer and Liam had to work on some differences and their strug

I was so excited to read this. It is hot, steamy and oh so yummy. Who wouldn't want two Alpha doms fighting for you? Raine has finally became strong enough to reach out for what she wants. And she wants both Macen (Hammer) and Liam. But oh what a tangled weave these three have to overcome. Now with a cliffhanger, I can only hope that Macen is her true DOM. But I would love to get a story of their friend Beck and let's face it, Seth would be another one to look forward too.

I loved this one. Raine made me proud!!

Liam feels he cannot reach Raine, especially after the whole pregnancy/migraine episode. She just cannot seem to break down her walls. He releases her. This sends her into a tailspin. She feels rejected and leaves. But where will she go? She ends up going to someone who helps her think and pushes her to make a decision that will change her life.

In this book, the feelings between Raine, Macen and Liam were so intense. I couldn’t have imagined giving my heart to two men and still function every day. Between the three people it was raw and passionate but I’m still team Liam.

“Congratulations. So far, you've both scored a hundred percent on the quiz."

"Quiz?" Liam blinked, then looked at Hammer, his eyes wide. "Shit, we didn't study, mate."

"If Seth is giving the quiz, we're good. He can't be smarter than us," Hammer said in a stage whisper.”
“Time's up, Ladies. Let's go back inside. We can sit by the fire, hold hands, and sing Kumbaya," Seth called from the front porch.

"Fucker," Hammer muttered.

"I think we should beat his ass next," Liam muttered conspiratorially.

Both men cracked a knowing grin. As if they'd read one another's minds, they raised their right arms and flipped Seth off, laughing. It felt good.”
