Fantastic! Informative and thrilling with many dramatic photos/illustrations. My favourite of the series thus far.

Covers what the typical day of firefighters is like, life in the station house, the training, equipment, how different kinds of fires -- houses, ships, planes -- need different solutions and how firefighters are also called out rescue people in non-fire accidents.

Might be too intense/dramatic for sensitive children, but for those who like a lot of action and helping others, it's perfect.

As with this entire series, due to the rapid technical advancements in the last 20 years, not everything is up-to-date, but that hardly matters to the target age range.

i've read so many adult non-fiction and fiction books about firefighting i was really suprised how much i learned from this book
