This is a silly book that starts off with the reader finding about some of the things Oscar the Grouch hates. His friends know this and instead of trying to give him gifts he would hate, they throw him a birthday party and give him gifts he will enjoy.

Sesame Street has always had a special place in my heart and so has Oscar the Grouch. I love that in the story all of Oscar's friends give him a birthday he will love instead of trying to convince him to enjoy "normal" things.

Oscar's friends are great enough to give him what he really wants for his birthday. Cute.
