DNF but it was really boring, so just skip this book and take the test, because the test isn’t that hard.

I didn't see any of the other AP World History study guides, but this one definitely helped me. My teacher did not recommend that I use this study guide, and I've read various reviews online that denounce it. Despite all of that, I decided to rebel and purchase this study guide, and it has been very helpful, both for the AP Exam and the AP World History class that I took during the school year.
I actually managed to get a 5 on the exam, just like the title of the book suggests. I would NOT recommend that you use this book as a textbook, because the information given in the review section is general and intended to turn the wheels in your brain. My favorite part of the study guide are these change/continuity charts at the end of each section.
So yeah, I would definitely recommend that you use this study guide for the AP World History exam, and I will definitely be using the other "5 Steps to a 5" study guides for future AP exams (since this was my first AP exam that I have ever taken).

Being someone who didn't even take Ap World History, only Honors, this book was amazing. It has two practice tests, a breakdown of what the test consists of, how much each part counts toward your grade, and has examples of well written DBQ's, Free Response, and Compare and Contrast Essays. It summaries everything you possibly need to know in a concise manner, and also has a few practice questions at the end of each section with an explanation on why the answer is correct. There is also three different plans, depending on how long you have to study, to guide you on how much you need to do per day to prepare.
The best thing about this book is that is actually works!

So I actually did get all the way through this book (even if I did have to read the last 3 sections the night before the test). I didn't think it was a great review book. It was a lot of lists of accomplishments of civilizations and the way it was organized was weird. The dates were out of order, especially in the last 2 sections. The Princeton Review books that I saw seemed like much better review books.

AJB

Quite a helpful book, but I feel like there were probably better ones out there.

I wish this book had more information on each topic, but overall I feel better prepared because of the book but only time will tell.

I feel as though it's okay to count this as a book I read. it was incredibly long and I read it cover to cover. I'm also slacking in my challenge this year, and every single book counts.
