Adam Blade is the house name for the Working Partners Ltd. ghostwriters who write the Beast Quest and Sea Quest series.

Adam Blade is in his late twenties, and was born in Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, and Adam grew up surrounded by his father’s paintings of historic English battles – which left a lifelong mark on his imagination. He was also fascinated by the ancient sword and shield that hung in his father’s office. Adam’s father said they were a Blade family heirloom.

As a boy, Adam would spend days imagining who could have first owned the sword and shield. Eventually, he created a character – Tom, the bravest boy warrior of them all. The idea for Beast Quest was born.

When Adam grew up and decided that he wanted to be a writer, he was stuck for ideas – until he remembered the old sword and shield, and the imaginary boy he had created when he was young. Adam decided to bring Tom fully to life so that readers could go on the kind of adventures that he always wanted to when he was that age… And still does, even though he’s grown up!

When he’s not writing Beast Quest books, Adam enjoys visiting museums and ancient battle sites. His main hobbies are fencing and football. He also spends a lot of time at home running around after his two exotic pets – a tarantula named Ziggy, and a capuchin monkey named Omar. These little rascals were the inspiration for two of the Beasts that Tom faces on his Quest – Arachnid and Claw.

Sadly, Adam does not have his own Fire-Dragon or Horse-Man. But he really wishes he did!

This is another very exciting adventure as brave Tom and Elenna have to fight off a monstrous hound called Kaymon, which can magically split into three under threat.

We are in the dark realm in this book, a more frightening and violent place than the original series. The detail of the location is again well done with a ruined, sinister castle and a crazed evil wizard.

Suitable for young readers from six up, with illustrations; if they don't mind scary stories.

5 Star for a beast quest

I’m not saying this is a 5 star book but I’m ranking it against the others and I think this could be the best so far I really like how they have changed how the story is written and it doesn’t follow the same format

Freeing the beast early and having multiple battles the last one using brain to overcome and it being multiple chapters was awesome

two things i have learned from this series. 1. i love the girl beasts good or bad. 2. i love new and unexpected magic.
i won’t spoil anything but the magic he gains from this beast’s jewel is pretty cool.

MY GOODNESS, this Beast Quest is SCARY and much more violent compared to the others I've read! Kaymon is a very frightening monster... If I ever met her once, I'd be afraid of dogs for the rest of my entire life. There’s quite a few scenes of the beast ripping and tearing at animals and even people. The scenes aren't all that graphic, but the mention of blood and flesh is there. This is a book for tough little kids. :)

Anyhoo, I seriously adored this story. Maybe because of the surprising amount of violence! (LOL) Nah, these books are always good. Seriously, get your kids to read them. There's always something interesting and engaging about the plot.~

This is a good book that starts of with a good introduction of the whole series before this. Then, an unexpected event attracts the reader's attention and makes the book interesting.
