More like a 2.5 star rating. Some of the information here is pretty outdated. I mostly read it because I'm trying to find good rat terrier books for a customer who loves books and is wanting to read about them. This book was written before the American kennel club recognized the rat terrier as a breed.
The writing was pretty mediocre, and I'm not saying that because I am very well familiar with this breed.

This is a great overview of my favorite breed of dog. It speaks to the history of the rat terrier and how that affects their behavior today. I thought it a cute little book that gave me more information about my rat terrier. It also helped me understand some of my dog's quirky behaviors.
