One, Two, Three Me

In diesem Pappbilderbuch passt alles zusammen -- oder es reimt sich. So wie "Eins Zwei Drei Tier" eben. Oder: "Groß Mittel Klein Schwein". Und neben diesem Schwein gibt es noch jede Menge anderer Tiere, in den verschiedensten Situationen, und mit den absonderlichsten Requisiten: eine Maus mit einer Maske, eine Ziege mit Vollbart, oder einen Hasen mit einer Beule. Die sich dann übrigens auf "Eule" reimt. Denn wie gesagt, hier passt alles zusammen oder es reimt sich. Und am Ende des Buches kommt über einen Reim auch noch der Leser mit ins Buch. Denn auf Känguruh reimt sich: "Du!"
Ein witziges Pappbilderbuch, in dem schon die Kleinsten lustige Sachen entdecken und die Großen über die Reim-dich-oder-ich-fress-dich-Logik lachen können. Nominiert für den Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis 2000 in der Kategorie Bilderbuch.

Nadia Budde, geboren 1967 in Berlin, arbeitete als Gebrauchswerberin, bevor sie Grafik Design an der Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee und am Royal College of Art in London studierte. Gleich ihr erstes Bilderbuch Eins zwei drei Tier (1999, Peter Hammer Verlag) wurde mit dem Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis und dem Oldenburger Kinder- und Jugendbuchpreis ausgezeichnet. Trauriger Tiger toastet Tomaten (2000) erhielt den Troisdorfer Bilderbuchpreis und den Luchs der Jury von ZEIT und Radio Bremen. Die Comic-Biografie Such dir was aus, aber beeil dich (2009, Fischer Schatzinsel), wurde mit dem Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis und dem Max-und-Moritz-Preis als bester Comic für Kinder ausgezeichnet. 2013 gewann Nadia Budde den Hans-Meid-Preis für Buchillustration, 2017 war sie für den Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award nominiert. Ihre Bücher wurden in viele Sprachen übersetzt.

Neben der Illustration eigener und fremder Bilderbuchtexte zeichnet Nadia Budde auch für Zeitungen, Zeitschriften und im Bereich Trickfilm, Bühnenbild und Werbung. Sie hielt viele Workshops und Lesungen im In- und Ausland, u.a. in Norwegen, Frankreich, Iran, Ukraine, Polen, Kirgistan, Kasachstan, Bolivien, Peru, Israel, Ägypten, Thailand, Algerien, Palestina und Libanon. Im Sommersemester 2008 übernahm sie eine Gastprofessur an der Hochschule für Kunst und Design Burg Giebichenstein in Halle an der Saale im Fachbereich Illustra­tion. A book of nursery rhymes to teach children the names of animals. The first free lines revolve around a topic, the forth names an animal (made up example in English: by train/by car/by boat/goat). The combintions are quirky and funny, especially with the drawings. The whole thing has an almost dadaist vibe to it. An adult might read it in under five minutes, but that are some very enjoyable five minutes.

If I was asked to read this book out loud everyday of my life- I would be okay with that. This book is so much fun, is delightfully nonsensical, rhymes, and I love the illustrations. You can’t help but smile when reading this delightful book, and my children love to shout out the last word of every page. We all have it memorized, we have read it that many times.

my daughter and I love this book. we got it as a gift in English from her godfather. I started reading it to her when she was about one always following everyword with my finger (tapping on each picture with my finger). when she was about one and a half she took the book herself and started "reading" it to her teddy bear. so gorgeous! I love the rhyming words and the pictures. recently I found the German version in a book shop same style with the rhythms but completely different pictures. it is called "eins zwei drei Tier" and now I am tempted to get it as well because it is just as great as the English version

A clever German rhyming book with cool illustrations. Each page has three illustrations and words. The fourth word, which rhymes with the 3rd features a new character which is used in the illustrations for the following set. For example we see three pictures of a wolf: Groß, Mittel, Klein. Then a picture of a pig: Schwein. The pig is then featured in the illustrations of the next page.
