A single kiss could change both their lives forever, but it’s not his kiss to take…

Dr. Evan Harrison has become a recluse, a prisoner inside his own house, felled in his prime by a migraine headache without end. All he'd ever wanted was to be a doctor, and now he's nothing - until chance delivers a beaten and battered Jamie into his care. Fourteen years his junior, gorgeou

Holy dirty talk! This book is hot, hot, hot!

There is no plot: this is effectively a 200-page extended sex scene, as Evan initiates Jamie into the joys of anal play. As Evan is a wealthy independant man with no friends, no family, and a penthouse apartment, there is pretty much zero action outside of the bedroom. Or the shower. Or the chair in front of the window.

But sweet Jesus, there was something about the way this is written that meant I had to change my pyjamas.

Evan is a little bit toppy, b

See Emma's great review for a more thorough explanation. I am adding a few thoughts and feelings, which will share a small part of this pleasurable experience.

Silly me of course made the mistake of starting Kiss late last night, I was relaxed taking it easy and thinking it would take me a couple of hours to finish, heh, that was blown away, as I was, it ended up being an all nighter, no going to bed for me, no way in hell, fell hook line and sinker. This book, Wow, amazing, I gleefully
Of course your mum has told you to always wear smart underwear in case you suddenly end up in hospital. But when your doctor’s name turns out to be Evan Harrison, you better make damn sure you’re wearing a chastity belt instead.

Because even feeling like semi-roadkill’s not gonna help you escape Dr. Depravity. And although Evan’s intentions are good when he rescues a young rape victim on a dreadful night, he sure is one hell of an unethical bastard. Which is exactly the point here. And – despite

I wasn`t entirely happy with Jamie switching so easily from being happily straight to debauched gay angel just for Evan...
Holy Goddess of gay erotic romance that was...

Everything else is said so this picture has to do...

Thanks to Finn Marlowe for giving us this delicious early Christmas gift!

Holy shit.

The kinkiness of it!
A deviant doctor and a clueless boy.
So dirty, wicked, twisted and hot.
I am totally ignoring the weak plot + plausibility of it and rating it based on heat content.
Disturbing and scorching hot for the likes of medical kink.

This was a solid 4 star read for me! And it was a freebie to boot!

I was surprised by how dark the beginning was. I guess I didn't quite realize how Evan and Jamie's relationship came about.

I was also surprised by how much I laughed in this book, for it starting out the way it did. I think that's what really won me over. Despite the fact that Jamie and Evan meet under terrible circumstances, their dynamic was really great.

Was this one kinky?

I mean WOW!

There was a definitely a fine line betwee

I know that my moaning and bitching about sex-fest in romance makes it sound like I don't like smut. Well, it's not the case. I like smut -- it's just that romance is not necessarily have to be smut. But when I come around a good smut, I am a happy girl too.

And this? OMG. THIS? THIS just hits all other smuts out of the part. It makes me all shivery and tingly and busy fanning myself. So, SO GOOD.

But not only the fabulous sex, the characters shine as well. Two distinct voices -- that even if all

Trying to breeze through this was a mistake. A greedy, over-zealous, mistake. Not His Kiss should be read in bursts, it's just way to hot otherwise.
There is a story, full of character development, conflict, misunderstandings, hurt/comfort. Aawwwww's.
Yeah.... but see, I'm a bit of a perv. The long, drawn out, dirty-talk, medical-porn, uber-sexy, older man/younger man festival of the senses just kept me from focusing. On the story. I'm sure it was good... no, no, I'm sure it must have been great!
Re-read disaster. Dropped from 5 stars to 3. Not my bag (anymore?).

My feelings towards this story are a little unclear; there are aspects I really liked and aspects I really really didn’t like.

It started off well. We quickly meet Dr Evan Harrison drinking alone in a bar, pondering the woes of his medical career, and right off the bat it was clear his narrative was going to be a little bit different to the norm. His internal musings came across as slightly disturbed, which weirdly intrigued me and had me wanting more.

Soon enough, he spots a beautiful bl

I’ve read the book, which was the easy part, now the review which is going to be the hard part because I’m not exactly sure what to say about this story and the characters. While I think Jamie is a wonderful character so sweet and so very funny, Evan is a character I didn’t like at all no matter how hard I tried. I will admit there were times I could see the chemistry between Evan and Jamie but Evan’s behavior towards Jamie at the beginning prevents me from liking him, I just couldn’t g

Well - apparently when you have this in your library at Smashwords and it gets pulled from publication it disappears from the library. That's a huge bummer. Does anyone have a copy? Mine was on a computer that crashed - and my bad assumption was that smashwords would keep it in my library!

EMK, EMK, EMK! Exactly My Kink (to read). What a wonderful story. I loved Jamie and Evan but most especially Evan. I found his inner dialogue so honest that it made quite the story for me. His guilt was heartbr

Quitting at 55%. I really have no idea why this book isn’t working for me.
This is a book I would normally have enjoyed, but my personal views on medical ethics and Evan's complete lack thereof took me out of the story and I never really got back into it.

If it weren't for the ethics issue, which was a real deal breaker for me, I would have probably given this four stars, but I'll refrain from rating it now.

Didn't get past 7% my dislike of the pov character is growing with every word and while I usually try to keep turning pages, the way the plot is going it was a push to get this far.

The book starts with italics and be honest now, who doesn't get the urge to skip them? ..Not ever?

We learn how clever Dr Evan is and how the poor tortured soul has caused something undefined through constant migraines, and he's fiercely allergic to latex. To me he comes accross as far too precious, the comment about p
‘Not His Kiss to Give’ was inspired by a prompt submitted for the M/M Romance Group’s 2012 ‘Love is Always Write’ (LIAW) event. 'Kiss' was written as a gift to a GR reader and was not included in the series. The author decided later to release it publicly. (note: this is a correction to the original review)

The prompt for ‘Kiss’ asked specifically for a medical kink. Combine this with a forced seduction/dubious consent and other unethical behavior and you have a story that pushes limits. Usually
Okay, so I agree with everyone about how dirty hot this book was. So, instead of explaining the four stars I gave, I want to talk about the the one star I didn't give. Medical kink. Ugh. But I knew that would happen. I guess because I work in health care, it's like a 'familiarity breeds contempt' kind of thing, but for me, even thinking about medical kink is a bit like thinking about your parents having sex. (Ew, gross, let me go throw up quickly). It's just the opposite of sexy. Thankfully, the ...more

Shelving this because the cover guy looks like the foreign minister of my country.
Which is a good thing in my book, LOL.

I really enjoyed this book. Evan and Jamie are a cute couple with a 14 years age difference.

The beginning is actually quite a taboo issue involving sexual abuse and a doctor/patient relationship.
I didn't mind, though.
The sex is very kinky, which was a surprise...

However, the downside was the lack of plot. There simply wasn't much. Especially the second half is simply a

This book blew cool creepy air over a few of my fiercest fetishes. And tugged at my heartstrings the whole time (in the best way).
Why yes, yes you may insert a catheter into my kinky brain. This book gave me multiple brain orgasms! You know when you just have to put the book down for a moment and refocus your eyes and take deep breaths? Yeah, a whole lot of that.
So funny. So sexy. Truly heartfelt. Against the norm.
I loved so many things about this book.

Never have I yearned for a kiss so desperately. Wonderful characters with incredible voices that grabbed me right away. Don't ask me who I liked better, Evan and Jamie were both phenomenal individually and together their chemistry was off the charts. Heartbreaking, sweet, fun, kinky, super hot, highly entertaining...I couldn't have loved this book more and would gladly tack on a extra star or two if I could. A huge thanks to Ms. Marlowe for giving us this gift. Check it out, it's FREE!
Okay ... so here's the thing ... I read and can enjoy almost anything: Mpreg, Tentacle Porn, Insta-Love, Brocest etc., even badly written stories can charm me if I can see the good bones underneath. This is a convoluted way of saying that this didn't work for me. At all. Full disclosure, I got this purely because of the cover, so I've got no reason to complain.

The constituent parts of this story are all tropes that I've enjoyed in the past but somehow put together or the way this was written wa

I started this one and couldn't stop. Literally. The sex scenes were extremely hot and with the awesome beginning I thought maybe things would fizzle out down the road but that never happened. The medical kink bit was done really well. What I loved about this book most was that the darker parts were very well written. Some of it was so graphic in fact, that it made me cringe which I assure you is a good thing. ;) Loved it.

This was unlike anything I’ve read before - both in execution and content.

I dunno. I can see how this would appeal to some and offend others. Definitely many, many shades of gray are present, as Evan struggles with his attraction to his patient and being the healer that comes so naturally to him. He can’t not help Jamie, just like he can’t help but fall for the beautiful young man.

Yes, lines were crossed. There were so many things that could push a reader’s buttons, both good and bad. In the en

This book was so hot. I had to give it a lower rating because of the assault that happens in the beginning that starts off the relationship between Evan and Jamie. To me it just felt really wrong and unethical for Evan to touch Jamie in any kind of way when he was acting as his doctor.

If that had been different this would have been a 4 star for sure because there is some smoking hot scenes going on between the MC's and the there's a great HEA as well.

Still a great erotic read but not something
Late comes the review, but it comes. This book squicked me. Badly.

This book could have been the perfect story of why not to force and practically brainwash a dependant into an affair, a BDSM one to boot.

Unfortunately it sells us that abuse is perfectly fine if the abused ends up suffering from Stockholm Syndrome/Abuse Syndrome and thinks they are in love with the abuser. It also perpetrates that it's just fine for a non-licensed doctor to commit acts against every ethic-related rule of his profe

I absolutely loved this book. It surprised the shit outta me!

The beginning of this book is so tough to read. I hated what happened to poor Jamie. Being targeted by drunken assholes when he hadn't even done anything wrong. What they did to his was just disgusting and I'm so glad that they didn't win, that Jamie was strong and allowed Evan to eventually help him overcome it all.

Jamie was such a great character. I liked that you could easily tell there was a pretty big age gap between he and

Don't get me wrong I had a bit of a " perv alert " moment with Evan at the beginning, there'd be something wrong if the thought doesn't cross your mind. Phew, well ...this was fun.

Especially considering I managed to look beyond the unethical Doctor patient scenario. To enjoy this you need to detach and remain unaffected by the wrongness factor and go with it. Suspend your belief for a little while and remind yourself that it's fiction, it's not easy because the Doc comes across as WAY creepy at first. But he's not really, he's just honest and lonely and really, really fancies the pants off of James.

But you know what? I can deal with a

Well, the sex is absolutely smokin' hot for a start. It's deliciously kinky,( yes, we need more medical kink!!) and so well written, plus there's a wonderful sense of fun and playfulness to it all. I find that so refreshing.
Evan and Jamie are the other reason this story works. The tension that comes with their growing intimacy and the slow build-up
