About the author

Anna Marie Quindlen is an American author, journalist, and opinion columnist.
Her New York Times column, Public and Private, won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1992. She began her journalism career in 1974 as a reporter for the New York Post. Between 1977 and 1994 she held several posts at The New York Times. Her semi-autobiographical novel One True Thing (1994) served as the basis for the 1998 film starring Meryl Streep and Renée Zellweger.

Ehh, it was just a mid storybook on Christmas. Family goes out to choose a Christmas tree, bring it home, decorate it & then get rid of it when Christmas is over. The illustrations were mid too.

just personally, I didn't like the line abt coosing the tree that "rescued" the baby. if that's what you really think, that a tree rescued a baby, then your logic is to cut that tree down & make it that yr's Christmas tree? like you're honoring it for the good deed? or it just happened to be the perfect tree & it was always gonna be picked no matter what it did or didn't do? just a weird part to me, idk

A holiday story meant to show the affection a family has towards its Christmas tree. Nice pastel illustrations, but somewhat lacking on the warmth of the season.
