Just as the subtitle says, this book is a simple and effective guide to help you gain the confidence to dive deep into your yoga practice. Whether you've been doing yoga for a while or you're a newbie, you'll find the directions and drawings easy to follow. I especially like the illustrations over photos. I didn't feel the need to imitate a person doing a "perfect" pose.

This is a really great book for introducing basic yoga exercises into your life. It doesn't go into depth about the background of yoga itself, though it gives a short explanation of what yoga has been used for and how it kinda came about and what it has become. In the past I've borrowed yoga books from the library or downloaded 'yoga guides' but found they've lost my interest and are generally a bit tedious and sometimes the exercises hard to do if you're not already fit and flexible. the exercises and routines in this small book are fun to do, effective and easy to remember. I would definitely recommend to anyone starting out :)

I love this. It's a great introduction to yoga for a female new to yoga. It's super cute but also quality. Tara Fraser's books are great, and I say this as someone who teaches yoga and has practiced yoga for decades.

This is part of a series that includes meditation and spa/relaxation techniques. Can be read alone, but a super cute gift set if you can find all three.
