This was a good book about the early part of Pat Riley's coaching life. It takes you quickly through his early years and UK career then his NBA journeyman career. It really follows his ascent to Lakers' Head Coach through his first few years with the New York Knicks to 1994.
I had never seen this book and picked it up used. The 1980's Lakers is right in my wheelhouse and enjoyed reading about that time in his coaching career. I would like to see something that would go through his stint with the Miami Heat. But that wasn't this book.
Again, though, it was a good read about Pat Riley's life. Covering the '80's was what was most interesting to me, anyway.
