Spark Notes are like Cliff's Notes' little sibling. They get the job done, but they're not quite the same. Still, they do provide good supplemental material and can help in bringing out ideas you might have otherwise missed. When used alongside the original novels (not in lieu of) the can really enhance the experience. I'm just not sure there was quite as much there in this one as in others. 3.5 stars
