I first discovered this book on 1st February 2025, when it was referenced in the Netflix documentary 'Secrets of the Neanderthals'. In a segment of the documentary, the author's son John reads the following excerpt from this book: "Someone in the last Ice Age had ranged the mountains in the mournful task of collecting flowers."
