Good book for preschooles who are mad about kittens and are starting out with new pets.
A good book with just enough facts and good photos and illustrations...I especially like that they have shown things like how to hold the kitty coz my boys tend to be very affectionate and likes to hold the kitties all the time and at times forget that these kittens are not toys.. and reminding them of the book..helps to calm their enthusiasm. They love this and the beginner series Cat book.

This book is all about taking care of cats and kittens. It is written and illustrated very well, and it’s made for a young child to read, and understand how to take care of a cat. It covers topics like choosing a kitten, to what they will need, to feeding, playing, fur, going outside, cats and plants, paws, and claws.
I really like this book because it’s very informational, and it’s written in a language that’s easy to understand. There are many cute pictures of cats and kittens showing you step by step how you take care of these animals.
I would use this book in my classroom to teach students how to take care of an animal. Children need to learn how to be responsible, and to do so they have to learn what to do first.

I got this book back in the 90s at the school book fair. I loooooved cats a whole lot when I was little, so I had to have this when I saw it on the shelf. I'd read through this book all the time, some times several times a day. It is well worn! I learned a lot about cats from it, from what their actions mean to their body language, and that knowledge has stayed with me every since. Also, I really just enjoyed looking at the pictures of the cats, and comparing them to my two kitties (all the angry, grumpy, and grey-and-white ones were like one of my cats, and all the orange tabbies were like my other one :P).

Do you have older elementary age children who have a cat or want a cat? This is a great book for you to read together to learn more or all about having a pet cat. Combined with adorable real-life pictures and cute cartoons this is a comprehensive how-to-book for kids.

This is a fantastic read whether you're young or old. This book is targeted for older elementary school kids, but its a good book a parent could read with their child too. Even as an adult I learned a couple of things about cat care!

A book ALL about cats and kittens. Gives great descriptions on cats and how to take care of them. Would be great for a child to read to show them how much responsibility and work taking care of an animal would be.
