Frankel: The Wonder Horse

Rate this book
Frankel. The name is already burned in gold on racing's roll of honour, and will continue to glow whenever the talk is of the greatest racehorses ever. His record fourteen victories from fourteen starts, including ten at the elite Group 1 level speaks for itself. But it is the manner in which Frankel blew away his rivals that will linger in racing's folk that afterburner whoosh of explosive power which in a matter of strides sent him lengths clear of his pursuers. From his brilliant two-year-old career through the jaw-dropping 2011 2,000 Guineas to the irresistible force of 2012, Frankel in full flight was one of the great glories of racing history, and those who saw him run will never forget the sight. The Wonder Horse provides the perfect record of a stellar career. Constructed from the reports, features and stunning photographs which chronicled the Frankel phenomenon in the pages of the Racing Post, this book tells the complete story of a true racing legend.

Started reading it and couldn't stop!
A fabulous book, with great insight and with lots of little things even an anorak like me didn't know. Would recommend it to anyone.
