Sound theologically and told in engaging narrative style, Kenosis is a good introduction to the Christian path of humility and selfless action. The pages of this text are not the syllogisms of a heady academic, but the loving and generous reflections of a man who patterned his life on the life of St. Francis–a life of poverty and joy. Tired of the rat race and relentless social Darwinism? Cronin's book offers a radical and radiant different course.
