Hailed as “Britain’s most accurate medium” Gordon has been featured in numerous television documentaries including the BBC’s Everyman, "Mediums: Talking With the Dead" 3 part series as well as appearing as an expert guest on various shows such as This Morning, Richard and Judy and the BBC's Heaven and Earth. Gordon has also presented one of the nation's favourite paranormal shows, Living TV's 'Most Haunted', as well as his own series on the Biography Channel. He even managed to find the time to squeeze in a cameo in a Jacki Collins movie, Paris Connections!
He has travelled to many parts of the world to appear before audiences, read for many celebrities, and written numerous books, including Spirit Messenger and The Unbelievable Truth, which have been published to critical acclaim. Gordon has written regular columns for newspapers such as the Daily Record, Take A Break magazine and Best magazine.
From early childhood Gordon had the ability to see, sense and hear spirit people. As a young boy his ability often unnerved those around him and so he learned to close his mind to these experiences.
Through his teenage years he pushed his abilities into the background of his awareness and lived a very average teenage life. He pursued his passion for gymnastics until he was 19. He was good enough to be selected for the Scottish Commonwealth Games squad. It wasn’t until he was 24, when a friend’s brother appeared at his bedside in the middle of the night that these gifts were re-awakened. He later learned that the brother had died that night in a tragic fire. Gordon went with his friend to a spiritualist church, during the service he was told that he would one day be speaking from the ‘platform’. This was the start of over 15 years of study and practice as Gordon went on to develop his outstanding abilities as a medium or messenger from the spirit world under the tutelage of some of the great legends of the spiritualist church. He developed in a mediumship circle run by the extraordinary Mrs. Primrose, an inspirational figure in Scottish spiritualism and became a close friend of the legendary Albert Best, who is widely acknowledged as one of be best mediums of the last century.

I'm fascinated by Gordon Smith, he really makes the case for the truth of mediumship. I'd never read a book of his before and only picked this up because I'm going through a very hard time and needed some comfort-reading, and this was so cheap on Kindle. I enjoyed it very much - I can't say it's the best book I've ever read, or the best written; it's rather patchy in form and content, highly anecdotal, with no clear purpose in view, it seemed to me, but still a fascinating, easy read. I enjoyed it enough to invest in another of Gordon's books, The Unbelievable Truth, which I'm enjoying much more; a much better structured, purposeful and meaningful read than Through My Eyes - but TME is a great introduction to the man and his work that I'm very glad I read.

A bit disappointed to be honest. I read this as a follow up to 'Proof of Heaven' by Dr Eben Alexander - looking for a different perspective I suppose. I found Gordon's stories to be incomplete and in some cases a bit vague. I'm not entirely sure I know what the premise of the book was meant to be. Interesting ... in places, but didn't give me what I was looking for, although of course, that's not the author's fault.

Gives a great insight into the amazing work and dedication in the life of a medium. With Gordon Smith having a great sense of humor and being a well grounded individual, it was far from the 'airy fairy' appraoch and truely an enjoyable read.

A good story and good information
The author takes us through his life story about becoming a medium and what it is to be a medium. There is a lot of good information in here and I really like his McMessages conversation. Everybody wants everything immediately and not realizing what it actually takes to achieve where someone's at. The author talks about how it took them years to achieve where they're at in their life and it was through synchronicities and just continuously moving forward. I've heard this from many people who we see today as being the bright light that we all want to be and people don't realize it took them 10 to 20 years to reach that place in their life. It was really good to hear the author talk about everything they learned and went through to arrive where they're at in their life at this time. If you're aspiring to do anything, this is a good book to read because it will help you to understand everything you're going to say and nothing is just handed to us.

Through My Eyes is a well written account by one of the world's top mediums, of his experiences of communication with spirit.
Gordon provides answers to many issues around death, grief and the afterlife.
Each page is filled with his practical wisdom, and I found it very comforting and insightful.
Highly recommended.

Handling grief with help
Good , clear handling of the messages from those in the after life is Gordon Smith's forte'. There is also much help about funerals and grieving. Good investment in preparing to be a good friend to those grieving.

What a gentle book. I really like this because of the stories Gordon told. I love Gordon's voice but I got the paperback of this book and read it very quickly since it was so good but not too fast so that I can absorb all the good stuff. Thanks Gordon.

A really good starting point.
I read this book on the advice of my teacher who said anything from Gordon Smith I would trust. And for a trainee it was good. I found that Gordon's explanation of what medium really is cut the fantasy from the reality and was grounding. Knowing what my roles and responsibilities are actually helped improve my practice in the classroom. I guess one could say I stopped trying and let spirit be.
Full of really helpful advice that I have found useful in my own practice.

this is one of the best meduim books I have read. Its not about how to be a meduim but talks about peoples experiences.
