Good little 90-page explanation of the Apostles' Creed. The creeds themselves, like the catechisms, are readily efficient methods of packing seriously deep theology into an easily-remembered format. That's why they're so important to teach and recite in worship and study. The danger comes when we look to the creeds and our study never goes beyond them. They are only a means of pointing us to the Scriptures from which they are developed.
Packer does a marvelous job of dissecting the Apostles' Creed, citing Scripture for each part and giving thorough explanations, as well as anecdotal illustrations that are easily understood. Great for a Bible study or short sermon series.

Delightful little book from 1980s that takes the Apostles' Creed in bite-sized chunks. Packer turns 18 little chapters into easily grasped devotions and/or Bible Studies. I happily recommend it for seasoned Christians and new believers, pastors, elders, teachers, and anyone looking to grasp the Apostles' Creed better.

Again, concise, practical, easy-to-read, and recommended. At 90 pages, it might be a bit too short, but those wanting a brief but useful review of the creed, this might be it.

An excellent brief introduction to the heart of Christianity. Packer writes in a delightfully approachable style which serves to welcome the young Christian in warmly.
