Grandma and grandson are planning to go to the beach, but grandma keeps turning around and going back for more stuff to take, until they almost don't have time to go to the beach. When I first read it about 30 years ago, I found it hilarious, silly, and delightful.

Grandma is funny because she frustrates her grandson by overpacking (and underpacking) for a walk to the beach. I LOLled.

Overly wordy, also predictable. I bet families love it though. Check it out for yourself on openlibrary.org.

We borrowed this book from our library as part of a kit with an audiocassette. We enjoyed listening to the narration by Peter Fernandez while we followed along with the book. It's an entertaining and silly story with fun illustrations. We enjoyed listening to this book together.

This is a funny story about a grandmother and her grandson. She just moved close to the beach and they want to spend the day there. When she begins to pack her bags, she begins to pack too much. Her grandson Max is not too happy with his grandmother. You will laugh at this entertaining tale.

This book reminds me of when you're packing for vacation and you remember every possible item you could need except your toothbrush (or some other vital item). A funny story!

Great story about grandma, who (before going to the beach), thinks she must take *everything but the kitchen sink* with her...until she and her grandson get there!

It's fun to poke fun at ourselves. Alissa and I often overpack too.
