I adore how absolutely wacky this volume was. The screwball comedy aspect has kicked up a notch or two and I’m completely there for it! When Oohara’s dad inadvertently spills the beans to Rika about his request for the couple to move to Aso, she takes matters into her own hands by packing up and moving into his granny’s house there all by herself. Flabbergasted, Oohara (Takuya) accidentally runs into Rika’s famously controlling mother. Before you know it the two families have been hoodwinked into a traditional “first meeting” between the two sides. It’s complete chaos in the best possible way!
This volume was so funny and exciting , all the rushed and spontaneous actions . Loved Oohara family dynamic. (Also , this is my favourite wedding attire of the couple !
More of a 3.5 star rating; I really liked seeing that despite the lack of communication and miscommunication, Rika and Takuya still wanted to be around each other and didn’t dislike each other due to what’s going on. Sure they have different ways of handling things, but it hasn’t taken an unhealthy or darker turn like other (adult romance focused) series have done. I absolutely adore that despite her awkwardness, Rika does work really well with Takuya’s grandmother and his family as a whole is always so welcoming of Rika. It’s incredibly sweet to see considering Rika and her mother have an odd and complex dynamic. I still don’t know how to feel about Rika’s mother but I just hope that her meddling doesn’t cause a rift with Rika and Takuya.
