Illustrations come from a version by Boyle originally published in 1875. Somewhat pre-Raphaelite/late medieval in style. Beast appears rather like a walrus. The text is adapted by Elizabeth Rudd.

I love Beauty and the Beast and this is my favorite illustrated version, although Kinuko Kraft just came out with one so that might change.
