About the author

Susana Onega is Emeritus Professor of English Literature at the University of Zaragoza and a member of the Academia Europaea. She has written extensively on contemporary British literature, narrative poetics, ethics and trauma.

La selezione di estratti di saggi in questo volume offre secondo me una buona rappresentazione del movimento strutturalista e poi post-strutturalista, passando per formalismo e un pizzico di analisi del cinema. Gli spunti di riflessione sono notevoli e possono facilmente portare ad approfondimenti successivi e personali.

Un testo consigliato a chi vuole farsi un'idea di come alcuni "nomi celebri" hanno affrontato quei temi che oggi si possono definire "narratologici", così da poterli esplorare di seguito coi propri tempi e ritmi.
