GABE ROSE WAS A TOTAL MESS…

Gabe couldn’t imagine things getting much worse. He had lost everything—his marriage, his law practice, all his money—because of one night of blinding rage. Now he was trying to keep it together enough to provide a part-time home for his daughter, the only person in the world who mattered. That is until Del Pritchard walked into his life.

DELL PRITCHARD WAS A TOTAL FRUITCAKE…

But Dell was a fruitcake with money. And he wanted to hire Gabe as his lawyer to look into a conspiracy of national proportions that was threatening his life. Gabe knew he was listening to the rantings of a lunatic, but it was cash he couldn’t pass up.

Then Del is brutally murdered, and Gave realizes there’s more to his client’s claims than paranoia. Finding out what>/i> could cost Gabe the only thing he’s got left—his own life.

This thriller was a solid read with an interesting enough plotline, not at all convoluted. There wasn't really anything new or different about the overall story but it kept me interested. The good guy is vindicated on all counts in the end which is a smidge too jolly-ho for me but a great forgettable read.

It's a soild mystery/thriller. Likeable characters. Interesting plot. I think the humor side should have been turned up and the violence turned down. There's a rape scene that seemed out of place and too strong in the context of the story.

Nice that good won out over bad I suppose. What can be learned from this book? Check your credit card statements more carefully. The rip-off proposed here is so feasible and likely.

I only read this book because it was available for free at the hospital I was staying at. It was so bad that I can't even remember what the book was all about.
