Volume 1, Number 1 of the "Sherlock Holmes Mystery Magazine" deserves to be lapped up by collectors of Sherlockiana/Holmesiana as well as lay readers. The items included in this issue are:

1. "From Watson's Scrapbook": An "Editorial" by John H. Watson, M.D.

Collections like this rarely achieve greatness and are a mixed bag that leaves a three as a good score in my mind.

Not a bad read, the magazine contains some reviews of recent Holmes product by Kim Newman who's always entertaining and quite a good article on the film versions of the Hound of the Baskervilles.

Recommends it for: mystery fans
It was originally supposed to be a quarterly magazine, but now a series of books. Interview with Ron Goulart and a Harry Challenge story, a Simon Ark by Edward Hoch, two Holmes stories( a pastiche by Carole Bugge and one by Doyle), an advice column by Mrs Hudson, a film review, and a few other stories.
Recommended.
