Heart-wrenching drug addict book by Three Dog Night keyboardist Jimmy Greenspoon. I love books where the guy walks into a Jaguar dealership and buys the car in cash out of a briefcase like he's James Bond. Ninety pages later he's hocking all his gold records at the pawnshop to buy another fix!

Most heart-breaking moment is when Family Greenspoon assembles for Christmas gift giving and they all give Jimmy cool presents, and our hero then hands his family carefully wrapped I.O.U.s with tears stream

Read this one a few years back, but I remember it as a must read for three dog night fans.
