Finally - a cookbook with recipes for all the members of your family and then some. Recipes are included for humans, cats, dogs, and horses. Hmmm, sounds like the inhabitants of Mrs. Murphy’s abode in that delightful mystery series. This cookbook is just as delightful, with interesting recipes, tidbits of wisdom by Sneaky Pie Brown, and charming illustrations. A unique collection.

Cute book, but I was confused by the recipes for cats. Most contain milk and I didn't think cats were supposed to have milk. (I think they can't digest lactose.) So I don't think I would make any of the treats. Sneaky Pie does state that the recipes were approved by her Vet, however.

Recommends it for: cat-lovers, dog.lovers, fans of Rita Mae Brown's cat mysteries
Rita Mae and Sneaky Pie Brown are the "authors" of my favourite cat mysteries. Very light reading, but well written with loveable characters. Fluff, only with more dead people. Now,Sneaky Pie is a cat, and cats like to eat. And since cats, unlike dogs, don't just eat the next best thing, this requires a cookbook. In this case, a charming cookbook with little anecdotes about Sneaky Pie and her friends, and of course with recipes - for cats, for humans, for horses and also, for dogs.

My favorite part of the book was, of course, Sneaky Pie's ability to not only dispense cooking wisdom and general catitude, but also her ability to suggest fare for humans, dogs, cats, rabbits, and even horses. As an avid fan of mysteries in general and Rita Mae Brown's work in particular, I was drawn to this book for some recipes for holiday treats for my boxer nieces, Pug & Bella. I will definitely be making them the "Dog Bait" (a liver treat, discovered by the authors at the Westminster D ...more

Fun little cook book. Has a couple good recipes for dogs and cats. There are also recipes for horses, rabbits and humans. It's a nice little addition to the Mrs. Murphey series.
