My first read in the series. Not bad as a stand alone but it would probably have been better to read the first two to have more background on the situations and characters. Still, a very action packed men’s adventure that delivers futuristic/ apocalyptic/ war thrills and suspense.

This is the third book in the series, and it's kind of ok, but not great. The squad has been sent on a seemingly suicide mission: to attack a Russian fleet as it sails past a Swedish island, in the hope that Sweden will side with the Allies instead of the Russians.

To do so, they are dropped out of a C-130 in 3 pallets designed for cargo delivery. Naturally, everything that can go wrong does, so half the soldiers sent with them are killed, most of their weapons are destroyed, and the vehicle that was supposed to help them is damaged.

Still, they set up the three rocket pod systems they plan on attacking the ships with, and then wait. The weather is far below freezing, and most of them don't have proper cold weather gear. The Russians land troops on the island, but fail to detect the rocket pods of the soldiers before they attack the fleet.

Despite everything, they successfully attack and destroy the fleet, force Sweden to join the Allies and most of the main characters survive to go onto the next book.

It's a series where you never expect the characters to get defeated, but the plot holes are just so big sometimes, it beggars belief. I'll keep reading the series, but I honestly can't take it seriously.
