This book is an outdoorsy Iowan dream! Elizabeth has done a fantastic job compiling all the details you could possibly need when visiting Iowa parks. For years I’ve enjoyed taking this hiking and camping with me so I can remind myself of the details each park will have to enjoy. Her love for Iowa hiking has inspired me to love and appreciate all of Iowa’s nature more than I used to.

I love that this has maps in it, so I no longer need to look them up on line. There are a few parks I’d like to see added, but overall it’s a good guide for fun hiking locations.

Great book to find good hiking spots in Iowa. I would normally have used the internet to do this kind of research, but having so much good information organized in one place is still the better choice. Also, you can take it hiking with you and make notes when your cell phone is likely not working due to signal or battery.
