Single mom Tori Sullivan is ready to grab the life she's always wanted--away from Mystic Point. And initially, newcomer Walker Bertrand seems the ideal partner for her adventure. His appeal makes a girl fantasize about happily-ever-after. That is, until it's clear this lawman's strict moral code collides with her knack for bending the rules. Add in his investigation of her

Good book and nice wrap-up to the series. Walker had come to town to investigate Layne and Ross about possible wrongdoing in their investigations regarding her mother's murder. He had also been put in charge of the investigation into the boyfriend's death. He is a rigidly careful man who never lets anything interfere with his job. But he is immediately attracted to Tori, even though she is one of the suspects. Tori is used to men being attracted to her and she uses those feelings to try to get t ...more

Well, Tori is still my least favourite of the Sullivan sisters; although at the end she sort of redeemed herself. I mean she flirts with every man (married, engaged, or not) and dresses like a woman who is out for a good time and she does this right in front of her 12 year old son. The poor kid is embarrassed and Tori, not once questions how her attitude affects the son she proclaims to love more than any person in the world. A good mother not only provides for her children, she doesn't act like ...more

A good wrap up to the trilogy, and an enjoyable read about Tori, the middle Sullivan sister, the one who's always been compared to the most to her absent mother.

Walker, the hero, has a tough road in town, and not just with Tori. He's there to investigate possible miscarriage of justice and in doing so, manages to step on a whole lot of toes :)

A well-done story, again with good supporting characters and a bit of an possibility if Ms. Andrews might choose to do a spinoff later? :)

I loved the angst of this trilogy, but unfortunately Andrews did not manage to match her pacing to the short format of a series book. If I was intrigued by the drama (and I was) and caught up in the suspence (that too) I was ultimately left disappointed by the hyperspeed resolution to some very weighty plot points. Also, Walker was a judgmental ass. The end.

Good ending to this series but I hope she does a book about Anthony and Jess she kind of leaves you hanging about them.
