The New Key to Costa Rica

Rate this book
Combining unique travel choices, outdoor adventures, and little-known locales into guides where vacations meet adventures, each title in the Ulysses travel series also offers readers the comfort of detailed maps, internet information for each listing, author picks, suggested itineraries, and walking and driving tours. The New Key to Costa Rica is the ultimate insider's guide to this small but incredibly beautiful country. It is not written by a team of experts nor by a writer who has 10 different guides to 10 different locations, but by two women who have a deep understanding, love, and concern for Costa Rica. This is their only travel guide, and it reflects their interests by offering recommendations of 71 hotels with certified Sustainable Tourism programs. It also leads to many natural wonders, including 13 volcanoes, ten waterfalls, five caves, and three cloud forests. The guide shows where to watch wildlife at 38 national parks, reserves, and refuges plus five whale-watching tours, five dolphin-viewing areas, two seasonal turtle-viewing spots and even three butterfly gardens. 20 new maps are featured in this edition.

Great info in this travel book to Costa Rica. . .Liked the eco-tourism tips and suggestions for lodging and activities. She didn't steer us wrong at all. There's a little disorganization, but you can figure it out easily.

This is the 9th edition, 1989, 252p.

Obviously this early edtion is very dated in many respects, but parts are still useful.

Perfect book to have when you travel or plan on travelling to Costa Rica. This came in handy when we were planning our trip and while we were there a month ago.
