I used the 2011 edition of this text in my Politics of Russia/Eurasia course. I thought it was a fantastic, lucid, and comprehensive explanation of Russian Foreign Policy. The students, though, found it a little dense and struggled to complete the 40 page chapters. It might be more appropriate as a graduate level text.

If Russia had a Facebook page, it would probably put "It's complicated..." as its relationship status with the rest of the world.

'Russian Foreign Policy' is a good primer for the name-sake subject. I don't have much of a frame of reference for the subject matter (which is part of the reason that I got the book in the first place), so I did not have much to go on in terms of judging the academic value of the book or the credentials of the author.
