Excellent overview of the mosaic process. Easy to follow.

Like Sonia King's book on mosaic techniques, this book too provides a good overview of mosaic designs, techniques, types of media and their laying. However, Emma Biggs, Sonia King and many seasoned mosaicists seem to have a preference for smalti, stones and the indirect technique of mosaicking, all of which do not work for a mosaic learner in India--mainly because smalti or millefiori or small unglazed ceramic tiles aren't available here, and the indirect technique of envisioning a design upside down is too much for a new mosaicist to comprehend. And yet, one Emma Biggs book is a must have in a learner's library and it could well be this one.
