Using these proven technique, you can enjoy the same results.
In spite of its name this book is NOT about making picture frames, but rather about how to frame your thoughts and ideas to make your language more effective. Well written, easy read. Lots of good examples.
Excellent description of framing which is equal parts rhetorical and behavioral. Best quotes: "talking guarantees little unless we take into account the perspective of the other and grasp the meanings that must be managed" (pp. 18-19) and "when the right frames are in place, the right behavior naturally follows' (p. 13).
I understand the concept of needing to "frame" your message in order to have it adequately received. Unfortunately, for me, this book only confirmed what I knew as necessary. It did not help me with specific ideas for improving my own "framing".
For those who are interested in leadership communications and influencing negotiations, this book is a wonderful introduction to the art of framing a good argument.
