Umm...okay just fyi out there to mothers buying this for their teenage/college age children, if you are like my mom, you will probably appreciate this book more than your daughter/son at the moment. I think she cried on every page before she gave it to me...that really made me want to read it :)

I'm in college and my mother bought me this, but i think it is more suited for children who are having children (I made this *insightful* conclusion after reading the reflections in the back, which identify the voice as a mother giving wisdom to her child about how to do better while raising the next generation). New or old grandparents, buy this for your son/daughter who is becoming a new father/mother. I think they will most appreciate it then.

Cute collection of poetry. There is a poem for each age from newborn to twenty one. At times, a poem would bring a tear to my eye. The poems are very similar to my experiences with my 12 year old.
