I once asked my grandmother "How did you know you wanted to marry Granddad?" In answer to it, she gave me an article from the Reader's Digest that happened to be an excerpt from this book. After reading it, I immediately went out and bought the book and read it in one afternoon. What a lovely group of stories and they are all about real couples. So, if you just want a good story to make you laugh, and even cry, pick this book up and take a look.
I reread this book, remembering how much I enjoyed it when I read it several years ago. While I enjoyed it, it did not inspire me the way it had when I first read it. I think it has something to do with where I'm at in life. I read it shortly before I met my husband and the intro gave me encouragement that the right person for me could be out there. I needed to remember to focus on being the best me I could. The rest would fall into place. I did and it did.
I liked this book. It wasn't great or anything, but enjoyable. I was a little annoyed in some parts...the author seemed to use way too many words to get to the point. But all in all it was fun.....who doesn't like to hear about people in love?
