Old school NYC sports reporting. This is a good book about the greatest heavyweight champ of the best era of the heavyweight division - the '70s. Joe Frazier won the Fight of the Century on March 8, 1971. There will never be another fight like that.

This book chronicles Joe Frazier's rise as heavyweight champion of the world. The book's time line begins with his life as a farmer's son to "the Fight" with Muhammad Ali. Excellent read for any sports or boxing fan.

A no-nonsense account of Joe Frazier's rise to the top of the heavy weight ladder and his epic rivalry with Muhammad Ali that can be enjoyed by both fans and non-fans alike.
