Although a lot of the material was just common sense, I appreciated the way the information was organized - lists with quick descriptions. I also appreciated the distinction between sales and marketing.

Get what you deserve is a 27 year old book that was writren as a follow up to the book, "Guerilla Marketing". Godin and Levinson are legendary business leaders and the book is valuable aftee all of these years.

This is hard one to rate because several chapters are dated and the last two are exceptional. The chapter on application of thr lessons were very helpful. I also appreciated the chapter called, "Mirrror" which encourages everyone to self-examine their own side of the problem. Highly reccomended.

Definitely a book that has the potential to change your life if you put it into practice. Lots of useful information, but there was some not needed writing in between. There was lots of writing to try and justify why you should use the tools suggested. The examples were good though.
Some of the information I have tried to put into practice in my own life. I realized that I do not always act the way that I have portrayed myself to be upon meeting people. I do not try to market myself to people very often, which is why I have a few close friends.
"I can control the messages I send and my life will be better for it."
This is a self help book that can really help you transform yourself for the better. If you are going to read it, be prepared to try practicing it.

This book talks about how people judge you by your appearance, what you do or don't do, and how a person can get "pegged" before they even have a chance to prove them selves. It just made me more aware of the messages that I may or maynot be sending and how people can interpret them.

A practical guide to helping you learn how to control the signals you send about yourself to other people. Not only do they tell you how, but they also show you why. Easy and entertaining to read...and quite helpful.
