Full of love, romance and a whole heap of flirty fun, Smitten is a sexy new series. It will make you weak at the knees.
When Georgia meets Nik on her summer holiday, she’s sure he’s too good to be true. He’s gorgeous, with god-like abs and an adorable English accent. Then she discovers that he’s actually a member of an obscenely wealthy Russian family – and he wants to get

Loved it! Georgia is a great character and Nik the perfect leading man. Glam and funny with some danger thrown in. What a fun summer read.

Why I decided to read this book?
I found this book on the love story shelf at our school library and I was drawn to it because of the cover. Also I recently found another book from the same series so when I saw this book I jumped at the chance to grab it, I also grabbed another book from the series.

What category on the bingo board this book completes?
This book falls into the category of a book written in 2012 or 2013. This book is written in 2013 and I find it really interesting reading books tha

I really enjoyed the book. Since I have been to Noosa, I could fully imagine Georgia's glamorous love story. I liked how there was an unexpected twist at the end!

What it's about: While holidaying in Noosa with her family, Georgia meets the Nik. He's gorgeous and he's loaded, but he has secrets to hide.

What I thought: I fell in love. With Nik. I just couldn't help it, and once you read this, you won't be able to help it too. Maybe it's his heart-breaking background, or the fact that he wants to date a normal girl, but it made me wish I was Georgia. Geogia meets Nik by chance while out running and from there begins her rollercoaster ride of an adventure. N

I have to admit when I looked at the title I really thought this story was going to be soooo cliche, but this book surprised me. I didn't really see Nik as the mysterious type, and he really surprised me too. The plot twist was definitely interesting and what kept me reading. This was definitely not your typical romance. The other thing I really enjoyed about this book was the ending I thought it was really sweet, however slightly unrealistic. I would recommend this to anyone really, it was that ...more

The book is kind of tweeny. It's pretty predictable but it wasn't the worst book I've read, so there's that lol.

Shelves: ya, romance, 1-5-stars
So, there wasn't really an actual ending to the story? I'm not sure there was even a plot? The romance was so jilted and the characters were so one-dimensional and see through it wasn't even funny. Literally every single one of her friends was terrible, her sister had no redeemable qualities, and she herself literally is so rude to everyone and literally stalks the dude. The main guy also literally changes overnight and becomes an entirely new character, despite years of trauma and distrust. Als ...more

The Short Story? - A little on the cheesy side, Tall, Dark and Distant is everything you would expect a YA-romance to be! Fluffy, funny and very cute, it's definitely a feel good novel that I would pick up if I was in a slump or when I hit the beach! I have to say that some of the things were overly cheesy, being a girl who isn't entirely in love with the idea of love, it was a little cringe-worthy. However as the novel progressed I really got emotionally invested in Georgia and Nik's love sto ...more

Tall, Dark and Distant – Georgia should have let Nik explain.
‘Tall dark and distant’ by Julie Fison, shows that to earn someone’s trust you have to be honest. On summer holidays in Queensland, Georgia Louis King met Nik Ledbury while running on a sunny day. The handsome, dark-haired, green-eyed boy won Georgia’s heart from the first time their eyes had met. Georgia and Nik got along really well but even though Nik knew everything about Georgia, there was a part of him that Georgia d

Smitten Romance never fail to make me smile! :D

Great fluffy romance to start my summer holidays! I breezed trough this and was just what I needed to recover from uni exams.

The book follows Georgia on vacation with her family in Noosa when she meets Nik on her morning run. The two turn from friends and running buddies to something more.

I have a love hate relationship with the character Georgia. On one hand I like her down to earth, s

I was being generous with the one star. If it was possible to give negative stars I would.

This book is so bad. Like really, really, want-to-pull-out-your-hair, bad (sorry for the cliche.)

I'm trying really hard to understand how this book scored such a high rating and my reasoning is that I must have the 1st draft of this book while everyone else got the 8th or 9th draft.

Anyway, I say this without malice but I feel that Julie Fison should take a writing class. Then once she's finished with a book

"Certainly a summer read" :)
A summarised review:
- Cover drew me in and it sounded like a light-hearted summer read so I though why not?
- Really liked Georgia despite her obsessive tendencies and her and Nik complemented each other so well.
- Can not put into words how much I hated Alice.
- Definitely a mystery that you did not see coming so if you love a good summer read + a mystery then be sure to pick this book up.
- LOVED that it was an Australian novel!!!!! Could easily relate to the context/s

This book was so filled with cliches and unrealistic to the max but it was a quick easy fun read (even if it was in third person). There were plenty of things lacking - like much needed information and detail - despite it all though I enjoyed this book and now I'm probably going to read another Smitten book because I've had them all for year and they're just the short quick reads I like during the holidays.

smitten novel is expected to be short. the plot twist part was a bit too short. and you can find that the cliché of having handsome rich ass billionaire with mysterious background history as the main character and the geeky heroine.

Julie Fison grew up in Brisbane and worked in Australia, Asia and Europe as a television news reporter. Her first fiction series, 'Hazard River' (see J.E. Fison), is fast paced and fun with an environmental twist. The stories were inspired by a family holiday on the Noosa River.

Noosa is also the setting for Julie's first teen romance - 'Tall, Dark and Distant' which is part of the Smitten series.
