For a book to work it needs to have a plot, a conflict something that drives the story and not just time-leaps like a Hindi serial, which sadly this book made me feel. The hero attends his best friend's wedding where he meets his wife for the first time and finds her attractive. Then fast forward three years and his friend is dead and the heroine is a grieving widow with a son to raise. The hero helps her out but his job keeps him from the country half of the time. Born and raised in Colorado, Dallas Schulze now lives in California. She sold her first book in October 1983. It was published under her pseudonym Dallas Hamlin in the Candlelight Ecstasy Romance line. She loves happy ending and wrote category romances, contemporaries and historicals for Harlequin, Silhouette, Dell and Mira. Her latest title was published in 2004.
