Short and to the point

The book. Is a compilation of facts and figures about the few pilots of BATTLE OF BRITAIN, the men education
background, ranks rates, where they were from. I had always assumed there were many Yanks, 7. It was a short operation but a lifetime in length, sometimes four sorties a day, we flew two a day in Vietnam and thought that was long. Those men were hero's a pilot you could only hope to emulate. raven4464

Unimpressed!

At 95 pages this can hardly be called a book. The title is extremely misleading. It tells nothing of how a flyer lived and fought. It is just a rehashing of the stuff written many more times before and many times better. If you've read anything about the Battle of Britain, there's nothing new here. There's nothing here of substance that warrants a review.

A very short but informative work. Not as in depth as some of the books out there about the Battle Of Britain and the young men who took part in it, but I would recommend it to anyone who is starting to research the Battle of Britain or the RAF as a school project.

A good account of the life of the Few.he pilots who as 18 and 19 year olds , flew into the skies day after day against 4 to one odds and prevailed Mundane inasmuch as there is no shoot em up action ,just cold hard facts. As a former member of the RAF i am filled with admiration

Short But Sweet

This is a condensed but informative book that provides a good description of the aircraft, the men, and the battle logic that took place in the skies over Britain.

This is a very short historical comparison of the pilots, their planes and their kit (uniform & equipment) of the Battle of Britain heroes. It is very well written and quite informative.

Short overview of the Battle of Britain from the pilot's point of view. Worth the free price.

Very disappointing. I was expecting far greater detail and a bit more personalized. instead, it was 95 pages of dry facts and figures that are available from many other sources.

There are much better books on the subject. I like most of Jonathans books but didnt learn anything from this one!
