I received Ember's curse from the author as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have to say I haven't read anything paranormal in a very long time and typically not my first choice but as I started reading this one I was like..........................................................

Boy am I glad I took a chance on this one cause I liked, no that's not right, I really LOVED it! I was giddy while reading it kinda nice getting away from what you normally read and branching out and believe me

I was fortunate enough to receive Ember's Curse as an ARC. Thank you Gena for the wonderful opportunity!!

Gena weaves us a wonderful tale of werewolves, vampires, hybrids, and so many more magical creatures that is very unique to the paranormal world! Ember is a dominant alpha she-wolf going through the motions until she finds her prime mate; her heart mate. She's a very strong female which is refreshing!
Collin is the oh so yummy leader of the Adelphi pack, the protectors and law enforcers of

Ember's Curse is absolutely enthralling! The voice of Ember is so easy to read, you feel like you're taking an adventure...in her shoes!

I love the paranormal ideas behind Ember's Curse. There are so many of the loved, traditional creatures that have been created throughout history, but Gena has added her own personal touch to the concept of their existence. There's enough intriguing detail provided in the explanation of their makeup to be captivating without breaking the threshold into overpower

Ember's Curse is an excellent paranormal read. It introduces many dynamic characters and combines werewoves and vampires with a hint of magic. The twists and turns leave you anxious to read more. Gena D. Lutz did a good job including seg ways to upcoming books and left me eager to read them. Can't wait for the next one!

This book has the makings of a very good series. It has all the things that I love in a paranormal/romance book. All kinds of sexy alpha males and kick butt women who take no crap. I LOVED this book pretty much from start to finish. Ember is kick butt awesome and let me tell you Collin was a hot, sexy, make you fall on the floor panting Alpha male. I am quite sure that future books (as I am sure this has to be a series) will only get better and better. There are so many stories left to tell. I a ...more

I had the wonderful chance to get Ember's Curse as an ARC. Here are my thoughts. If you love paranormal novels this book is for you! If you do not this could be the one to change all of that! Gena gives the perfect mix of romance, action and the creatures we all love. Werewolves, Vampires, Nymphs she gives it all in a wonderful tale of a bond between a She-wolf and an Alpha. I love novels with a strong female that can kick serious ass and Ember is that character! You go through this journey feeli ...more

I truly enjoyed going on Ember's adventure on finding herself. I love that she was a strong character before she realized her full potential. There was plenty of kick-ass action along with lusty action intertwined throughout the story. Collin - *sigh*
I look forward to reading more from Gena and finding out more about the other characters, whom I loved as well! (I totally fell for Nathan.)
Such a great read!

I have the pictures that the author used for inspiration posted on my blog Momma's Books

So I have not read a paranormal book in a while so when I got an email from the author asking if I would read her book and do an honest review I was flattered as well as excited because well I did miss paranormal and just have been putting it off. After she sent me the book and I got into reading it I will have to say that this book reminded me as to why it was that I loved paranormal to begin with. Action ri

This was my first read by this author and I am impressed. The book was so well written and the characters were so interesting. It was one of those I couldn't put down. Werewolf - vampire hybrids. And your totally evil Vamps and werewolves as villains. BUT there are a few other people in her little band of close friends and they have quite the adventure. Friendship and loyalty and an amazing love with a lot of action and danger thrown in. NOT your usual Vampire bites werewolves ripping etc. So so ...more

Ember's curse is quite the exciting romance. Ember has been cursed to never feel love until she finds her one and only true mate. The chances of that happening anytime soon are pretty small. But when Collin walks into her life to help investigate werewolf slaying and kidnappings, all bets are off and she can only hope she survives long enough to figure out what the hell is happening to her.

One of my favorite parts of this book was that it wasn't just werewolves vs vampires vs witches vs human. E

Just finished reading Ember's Curse & throughly enjoyed it!

I love that Ember is such a Strong KickAss She Wolf who meets her match in Colin, a Strong Sexy Alpha Male. I love how she was able to blend the action & romance together along with the Different Species we love.

It is a breath of fresh air mixed with Action, Love, Mystery, Romance & just a dash of Comedy thrown in.

I highly recommend it to anyone who love Paranormal Romances!

Ember’s Curse
A Prime Wolf Novel
By Gena D. Lutz, Crimson Moon (December 15, 2012)

Vampires and werewolves: the much adored villains vs. the undisputed heroes of earth. Many a character has been birthed from the hyperactive imaginations of authors, but did you know it is possible to be both vampire and werewolf, in one body? Enter Ember Stilwell, a prime werewolf who benefits from both sides of the yin yang of paranormal creatures. Descended from a long line of primes, it is a wonder that Ember is

Werewolves, Vamps and Hybrids, OH MY! and OHHHHHH YEAH! This debut novel from Ms Lutz has some of the paranormal aspects we have all come to know and love but then she takes it to a whole new level with her vivid imagination and amazing story telling ability! Ember is a Prime Werewolf whose family was cursed by a witch many generations ago making it impossible for the women in their line to experience love until they find their "heart mate". And if that wasn't enough, she is also part vampire! E ...more

When I was asked by Gena if I'd like to read and review Ember's Curse I couldn't get out a yes fast enough! While I do love my rock stars and bad boys I also LOVE paranormal (I always end up wishing stuff like that was real, I think it would be hot to be able to shift into a wolf, or have super vampy speed and never age) especially a good paranormal that grabs you from the starts which this one definitely did. I love that Gena gave us a nice mix of supernatural beings here; werewolves, vampires, ...more

Thank you to The Book Avenue for hosting this tour and inviting me to join, I am very great full and excited to take part.

We start the book by Meeting Ember and let me tell you she is a girl after my own heart; she is dominant and powerful alpha female with a literal kick ass approach and a take no crap attitude. She also happens to be a hybrid werewolf/vampire that has been around for a century or two.

We begin to learn that Ember and her family where put under a curse by a witch a few hundred

This is the first book I have read by Gena D. Lutz. It definitely will not be the last.
From the first page she hooked me and reeled me in to Ember's pack, their troubles and their less then worthy pack leader with his megalomaniac mate who is really nothing more than a spoiled 2 year old masquerading as and grown up.
Ember, her friends, and Collin - one must not forget the luscious Collin - had me laughing out loud at their antics, saying "Oh yeah, kick his a.."

This review is from: Ember's Curse (Prime Wolf) (Kindle Edition)
This is a very fast moving story. You are drawn in immediately when Ember is "rolled" by the club's entertainment. That is the beginning of a very exciting, action packed story. There is love, intrigue, "heartmates", sex and even a bit of comedy. The characters were well-developed and the fight scenes described in detail that was given the right amount of blood and guts to make it interesting. Loved the scene with the nymphs, great!

At first I was thoroughly perturbed by the sudden relationship between the protagonist of the story and her mate. Then the author goes ahead and explains how it is possible and all is right in the (book) world again. I do like that the author accounted for almost everything; definitely ties up loose ends and answers all the questions. That said, I was confused about how the bonding tattoos work; I thought Ember and Collin received them because of her prime wolf/curse thing, but later another cou ...more

I have a fascination with Vampires and Wolves and anything like that, so of course I jumped at the chance to read this book. The plot takes you on a journey of twists and turns with plenty of excitement mixed in through out.

The main character Ember is easy to love with her quick wit and toughness and also her feistiness. Long ago her pack was cursed with not being able to feel love unless it was the one and only true love. Not a wonderful way to live but she makes due and it turns out all for t

Having just finished this book I must say that i am rather impressed with it. I love the strong female lead and I also cared about what happened to most of the characters. The end felt a little rushed like the author was asked to wrap up a group of things in a hurry because of page limitations but overall it was very enjoyable. I am a huge fan of the supernatural genre and love that this book combined more than just werewolves and vampires and also allowed "crossbreeds". Overall a very fun read ...more

A wonderfully written tale! I especially loved the Hybrid aspect, which was refreshing in a paranormal read. The author definitely has a gift for the written word and showcases it superbly. This story has it all which ranges from the mundane to make you want to blush!

I won't go into detail in my review as there are many (and I work 12 hour night shifts). I just felt compelled to recommend this book to fans of paranormal romance.
