The Survival of Sarah Landing is about a picture book author/artist from Maryland who goes through some pretty rough events in her life and sort of hits a rough spot. She hasn't written since the death of her husband and is afraid she will lose her house. She meets a budding author and takes her "under her wing".

This gives new author gives her the drive to continue and that spunk she needed to move forward again. Classes were suppose to begin and this "new student" didn't show up. With this a w

This story was just my cup of (iced) tea. The only way I'd have liked it better was if I'd been able to read it while on vacation. The setting is on the Maryland shore and Meacham's writing makes me want to get on a plane and settle in: to the story and the place. I'd most want to meet Sarah Landing; a children's picture book author, mother, sleuth and someone who you'll want to be your best friend. Pick this up when you want to read a mystery that combines cozy with crazy with classy. ...more
