I have not read many books on the topics, so I can't possibly compare it to any other work that's out there; but the book has a lot of potential as a tool for self-development. It's quite on-point, and if you can't find your core type after reading it, then I don't know what you need ! She gives examples, so you can relate, she gives a detailed explanation, and there is a huge part of the book focussed on how to improve and "de-VELCRO" yourself from your fixation. Try it out :) ...more

This is such a great book. I have read it a couple of times now. The author really helps you to look at your Enneagram type and those around you. It also provides some good ways to become a better you, and to be better to you and to others. It really is helping me to understand myself and others more. I feel this book is helping me to be a more grounded and calmer person as well. Highly recommend it if you are are struggling with repeated habits that annoy you about yourself. This book helps you ...more

Not literature but a really great book on self. An old approach to Myers-Briggs-type self awareness but tons more relevant and useful.

This might be my new favorite Enneagram book! The information given for each type was unique and very useful, providing a new perspective on the 9 types that really deepened my understanding of the Enneagram as a tool for greater self awareness. I guess the best way to describe it is that it is more specific to personal growth, the ego, and personality structures than other Enneagram books.

I think one reason this book is so excellent is that it doesn't spend much time trying to help the reader
