Take a chance on love in the limelight with Cheryl Harper's fun and flirty new series set in the wacky Elvis-themed Rock'n'Rolla Hotel.

Big shot producer KT Masters never apologizes. Especially not to showgirl waitresses. But when he tears Laura Charles's feathered costume and she gives him a piece of her mind, it sets him aflame. In fact, between Laura's feisty temper and how damn good she looks in that little number, KT wouldn't mind seeing a lot more of that costume . . . balled up next to his bed, that is.

Despite KT's arrogant attitude, Laura can't help but be drawn to him. And when he offers her the fling of a lifetime—a week spent in his gorgeous celebrity arms—she's willing to play along . . . just so long as her heart stays out of it.

But as things heat up between them, going back to the way things were isn't so easy. Could their passion be the real thing . . . or just a vacation from reality?

4 Solid Stars! A light-hearted fun romantic romp!

What a treat it was to read this book set in an Elvis themed hotel, the Rock’n’Rolla. Its unique setting, Elvis references, and host of delightful characters added to the enjoyment of this entertaining read, but it was KT and Laura’s entertaining interactions on the road to love, that stole the show!!

KT Masters, former childhood star, is at the Rock’n’Rolla to film his show Almost Famous, which he hosts and produces. He sweeps through Viva Las Vegas, the bar where Laura is a waitress, captivating everyone with his charming personality, except her. Although a little bit star struck by this handsome man, Laura’s not buying his act, and when he literally rumples her feathers, the fireworks begin!

I loved the witty dialogue and subtle humor between KT and Laura, and had a smile plastered on my face whenever these two got together. KT initially comes off as arrogant, but when Laura calls him out, he lets his guard down, and she finds herself yearning to have this man in her bed and her life. Being a popular Hollywood celebrity, KT has never lacked for having women around, but Laura brings out a side of him that he never dreamed he could explore and along with it, the possibilities of a forever relationship.

Willodean patted Misty’s head. “Am I making you nervous, KT? I can’t even imagine how that would be possible. You aren’t up to no good, are you?”
He was pretty sure that what he and Laura got up to would be really, really good. But that grandmotherly vibe that he picked up from Willodean made him want to convince her he was as pure as Ivory soap.
“No, ma’am. It must be the hour. Late night.” He glanced at his watch. It was eight o’clock. Some people in his usual circle didn’t even leave the house before nine. He sighed.
She nodded her head. “Sure. Kissing Laura shouldn’t rattle you like this, should it? I mean, you’ve kissed a thousand pretty girls.”
He closed his eyes and wondered how she knew. Probably just read the guilt and lusty anticipation on his face. He pasted on a smile. “I have no idea why I’m so nervous, Miss Willodean.”
“I have a guess.” She just watched him. He waited. So did she.
Finally he said, “What’s that?”
She shrugged a shoulder. “I think you might be nervous because you know this one could matter.”

So many note-worthy characters, but Willodean, Laura’s savior, employer and friend, and Gram, KT’s loving grandmother who raised him, added a little something special to the story. These two people were so influential in both Laura and KT’s lives, and the connection they have with these eccentric, sweet women, was touching and heartwarming. When Laura was unemployed and her desperation for a job brought her to the Rock’n’Rolla, it was Willodean who took her under her wing, gave her hope, and a safe haven for her and her daughter Holly. Even though KT’s childhood was filled with fame and fortune, it was the love of his Gram that kept him grounded, she was his rock and saved him from parents who saw him as nothing more than there meal ticket. It’s through Willowdean and Gram’s profound conversations, with each of them individually, that have KT and Laura seeing the possibility of a future together. Eye-opening and wonderful!! Holly, Laura’s daughter has her hand in all of this as well, she was adorable. Typical teen, but wise beyond her years.

The amusing connection that KT and Laura have follows them into the bedroom, where their interactions are not bogged down with descriptive sex, but rather sweet, slightly steamy, passionate couplings. Cute, funny conversation gets them out of their clothes, but once the deed is done, they open up to each other and their chatting takes on a more serious tone, but not at all stressful. The author transitions nicely from one emotion to the next, keeping it light and not heavy on the angst. She was able to carrying this through the entire read, making the book that much more enjoyable.

The ending was sweet, and readers will feel satisfied, but it was somewhat abrupt for my taste. Since this is a continuing series, my hope is that the second book, Can’t Help Falling in Love, will include as much multiple character involvement as Stuck on You did, and that TK and Laura will be a part of the story too.

This book had it all, fantastic witty dialogue, emotion, passion, and quirky good fun, plus memorable characters, and a story that will warm your heart. There is no doubt that Cheryl Harper has a bright future, and Stuck on You is proof of her exceptional writing, and feel-good storytelling! This reader is hooked and will be back for more!!

Well I can sum of this book in three words: cheesy by cute. I actually wondered if this was the first book from this author but I see she has had a couple before this one. The dialogue is very immaturely written and well cheesy. The characters do not have a lot of connection and actually are written immaturely as well. KT actually is written like he could not find his head if it was not screwed on.

However that being said the story is very cute. The setting is different and the background characters are adorable. This story had a lot of potential but just didn’t meet it.

Stuck On You by Cheryl Harper
This was a sweet and funny romance centered around two mismatched people. They meet when KT Masters, former child star and now producer, comes to the Elvis-themed hotel in which Laura Charles is working as a waitress. He is rude to her, she is rude to him and so the story begins.

Now KT has to produce a look-alike show for the Travel network while fantasizing about the cute and short feather bedecked showgirl waitress. Laura is also fantasizing about the handsome, smooth, arrogant, cranky-pants! Fortunately, they each decide to take the high road and apologize to each other. And this is where the story starts to get interesting.

I loved the line that KT fed Laura – although it was a truth really, not a line – that “he would love to see her pink satin costume balled up on the floor next to his bed”. I don’t know why I thought this was so sexy but I sure did!

The characters all of them are well written, fully fleshed (even the secondary and tertiary characters are fleshed out fairly well). The backdrop, while not unique, it was still fun to read about, and the relationship between KT and Laura was believable. Even the happily ever after rang a bell with me.

However, what I would have liked to have seen was this to have been a dualogy with the HEA coming at the end of the second book. Kevin could have had a reason to produce another show at the hotel and continued to pursue Laura and to get to know Holly better. With more time we could have learned more about his grandmother and Willodean the owner of the Elvis themed Rock’ n’Rolla Hotel and I think that would have made this a bit more of a substantial book. Still for the price, this is totally worth it for a vacation or beach read and I am defiantly going to be buying the next one in the series.

I regret buying this. I did not like the way this author writes. The book didn't have a good flow. It was hard to understand what was going on. I didn't like the heroine either. She would lust at the hero and despise him in the same thought or sentence in a confusing way. She had a nasty attitude also and she came off as a man hater for some reason. I usually don't like to read romances with single moms because authors always make them so bitter towards men which I hate. I think it all stems from the book not being written well because I did like the story-line of the hero being a former child star turn talk show host. And I liked that he was arrogant and spoiled like a real celebrity. The execution was just weird. I don't think I will read this author again. Can I even say that now here on Goodreads???? Lets see.....

MEH. This was not what I expected (humor, cute pet-dog and funny shenanigans) - instead I got insta-love, one good pun in whole book and superhero-grandmother that saves the day their relationship.
I will write a full review later.
Rating: 2 stars - not for me

I had a blast reading this book! The Author's heroine is sassy with some snort worthy descriptions of the hotel patrons and the hero oozes so much arrogant charm that I found myself falling in love with him. It's a fun romp to happily ever after you don't want to miss and I can't wait until the next installment!

FYI: I only write reviews for books I enjoyed recently or can remember the story well because I've read it five or more times (Like a EJ or JQ novel)Therefore, even if I may know the author or recieve a free book, if I didn't like it, no review. This is just so you know I'm not biased. :-)

I actually won a signed copy of this book from the author herself sometime last year. I finally got a chance to read it and it was a sweet little romantic comedy. There wasn't tons of steam and smexy, but the attitude and character development were excellent. This series seems to be set up so that each book features a different couple, so HEAs are a guarantee at the end of each. That also means that each could be read as a stand alone, but that takes all the fun out of getting to know the secondary characters. So far there are 2 more books set in the the Rock 'n' Rolla Hotel and I can't wait to catch up with the characters in the new books.

I give "Stuck on You" by Cheryl Harper, one star. When, I start reading, first couple of pages, ok. It gave you a little bit about what the book is about. But, then it just drag on & on, it was like repeating everything over in the first couple of chapters.I try my best to get into the book; I could not. The review that I read, seem to be great book to read, others may like it, not my cup of tea.

This was such a fun read! I admit that I am not a huge Elvis fan but I will say that I am definitely enamored with Ms. Harper's Rock-n-Rolla Hotel series! It is such a hoot! Ms. Willodean was in turns, wacky & wiley. Tony & Mike made nice secondary characters and I loved having the angsty teen Holly in the mix, just to give KT & Laura a run for their money. Grandma Arlene made for some wise words mixed in with some zany Zumba & of course, I could never forget good ole' Misty - hound dog extrodinare! I'm off to read the next adventure for the staff at the Rock-n-Rolla!
