Every summer at the North Valley carnival, after they have spent the day giving rides to the older children, the animals on Shawnee Bill's Enchanted Five-Ride Carousel come to life in the darkness and bring delight to the babes who are home in their cribs and thus missed the fun.
Don't hate me, but I have no idea who Shawnee Bill is. Despite being in the dark, this was a sweet, fast-paced, short little read about circus animals jumping off the carousel (it is spelled incorrectly throughout) into the bedrooms of sleeping babies. Not much happens, and half the book is wordless, but it was cheerful and zany and soft and I liked it.
