I feel obligated to share a cautionary tale. This book fooled me, and I don't wish the same upon you. I was lead to believe that this book would involve 12 harmonious essays by Nobel Peace Laureates, perhaps with an introduction and some commentary from the author. This book is not that. Instead, it appears to shamelessly advertise the authors involvements, fantasies, and personal philosophy. At times, the tone appears condescending, and the writing somewhat primitive. (He doesn't use the oxford comma though so that's got to contribute to some level of sophistication.) I cannot give this book one star though, because some of the insights are thoughtful and a goal of peace is respectable; it has the virtue of pertaining to desirable subject matter. The Nobel Laurates entailed in this book appear to be fascinating characters, this book inspired me to research them further. That said, the usefulness of this book is in its bibliography; I'd consider the rest of the material a meandering and relatively inconclusive Wikipedia article designed to cause intrigue and inspire further research. For that, I am thankful. Not worth reading, but certainly worth glossing over the bibliography.
