I really loved reading this book. It had no clear plot arc, but the names were very diverse. They had a huge number of characters, and not a single character had more than one sentence to say except for this one girl "Jenny." She appeared twice in the book. I couldn't believe what happened when Abdul bought the oranges from Mark! It was shocking, but I won't say more so I don't ruin it for anyone. And wow, I was totally not expecting the scene when Diego needed help fixing her bike tire and Juliana used MATH to fix it! Wow. I was so not expecting that. And Patricia's character development was amazing! The way she just figured out two plus x equals seven, find x. That was so cool how she just snapped and she did it!
I absolutely loved this book. The plot was very intriguing. The variation of characters from one paragraph to the next was a little confusing, but the main point of each chapter was very clear. I liked how exact everything was. The authors named every single number exactly. There were some random numbers and diagrams, and no clear plot arch. But over all, best book I read in 2017. The numbers were accurate and my teachers started to love me more.
