I originally did the Weigh Down Workshop, was successful after a lot of trial and error, however, I soon realized that Gwen Shamblin's Weigh Down plan had veered of God's straight and narrow and she had followed after her own agenda, leaving me high and dry. Suddenly I remembered this Thin within thing a former WD coordinator had recommended so I ordered a copy of the book. I had lost 100 lbs on WD but had started gaining it back and was desperate. I thank God for Judy and Arthur Halliday. God's ...more

I already have the book and I followed off and on with the program. The first time I read her book I loved it. I followed everyday. I went from a size 12 to a size 5 in 1986. In 2009 when I got her book again I followed it and I went from a size 12 to a size 2. This book is even great for people that have eating disorders like Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge eating disorders. This book will help those that have problems with weight to correct those problems. No, it is not a quick fix, but it beats ...more

The best thing about this book is that, it helped me re-wiring my thoughts by seeing food in a different light. Unlike any other diets i've tried before, this is the only book that has helped me to lose weight without making me going crazy thinking on what food i can eat next . As good as it is however, this book is certainly not for people who are looking for a quick approach

After going through the Weigh Down program a few times, I found this book to be a welcome balance on obedient eating and God's grace.

I bought this book for my wife and she absolutely loved it. She's become a "Thin Within" evangelist to family and friends and has successfully implemented the ideas in her own life. Highly recommended.

I have tried many avenues for retaining a healthy body and outlook in life. This is the one to settle on. You may begin the book with a dedication to becoming healthy and losing weight. You will end the book with so much more -- an inner change focused upon God and the hope He gives in transforming you into who He created you to be.

This book suggests: using the God designed hunger mechanism to know when to eat; using the power of the Holy Spirit within to not eat when not hungry; finding fullness and satisfaction in God. so thankful that God has enabled me to release 16.5 excess lbs of weight in the last 6 weeks!

“The Lord wants to have an ongoing conversation with us throughout the daily rhythms of our life. He is intimately acquainted with all of our ways. As we speak to Him, we acknowledge His presence and His involvement in our lives. This is what Paul means by praying continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Since our minds continue working all the time, our silent thoughts and prayers can constantly be offered to him in a running dialogue.” 0 likes
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt. . . . Again you will take up your tambourines and go out to dance with the joyful (Jeremiah 31:3–4).” 0 likes
