This Christmas cozy historical romance novella was a sweet Christmas read. Angel has been raised by her Pa and 3 brothers and is more of a tomboy then a young lady. The entire town has always made fun of her for her lack of ladylike behavior. Her best friend, Marta, has fixed her up with one after another of her visiting cousins; but Angel just isn't interested. But then Marta's handsome cousin, Elias, comes to visit and sparks start to fly when he isn't put off by Angel's love of hunt

Review of Christmas Angel

Angel was her name, though she was a rough and tough tomboy. Losing her Mother at age 11, she grew up with all men. Her father and three brothers. Her best friend, Marta, was always trying (unsuccessfully) to "fix Angel up". When Marta's cousin, Elias, came to spend the holidays with Marta's family, life began to change for Angel. A mentally unstable woman and an unstable man (who lived Marta) were the cause of drama in this little novella. Angel was left two children af

Christmas Angel

Set right before Christmas, in a time when getting the flu could kill you, thus story is full of mystery. Angel and Elias meet and fall in love, but will they be able to stay together? Will they be torn apart by the happenings and deaths in the town? One thing is for sure, Christmas miracles can happen Shi one can only wait and see

Only an hour to read & enjoy

This only took me a little over an hour. It was short, with a sweet romance. However, I don't normally read anything to do with murders. I hated that part, and the villains were one-dimensional. The POV was also confusing, switching from 1st person by Angel to 1st person by Elias to 3rd person with the mysterious man and boy, back to 1st person by Angel and then 3rd person with both Angel & Elias.

But everything else was great. I enjoyed Angel's fiery persona

Angel Taylor is more tomboy than feminine and she is fine with that until she meets Elias Harper a cousin of her best friend Marta. As Angel and Elias get to know each other mysterious plans are made by unknown people. Angel and Elias have no idea how this trouble will involve them but it does in a big way.

While this story is set just before Christmas it is not really a Christmas story but one of love and helping others, which of course, happens a lot more at that time of year but it seems like

Great story

I enjoyed this books so much. The story had no cuss words, no jumping from one bed to another's. I would recommended this book to anyone & everyone. This book would be a great book for a young person, it painted a picture of how our neighbors & community's supposed to act towards/for each other. (in a perfect world)

A very different Christmas story.

This is a lovely story about a young woman coming of age after being raised by her father and brothers after her mother dies. The only females she knows are her best friend, a young widow with a small child and a new baby, and the women who frequent her father's store. It is delightful.

I can honestly say that I do not remember reading this story, I will need to reread it before I can submit a true review.

Beautifully written story

Williams writes a simply wonderful tale, especially weaving a genuine love story into a tragic occurrence. I could see this as a Hallmark movie!

Great quick read

Very short, wanted it to last longer. Characters were good. No lead up to story. But good anyway. Would recommend.

Short and Cute

This book follows the rules of romance to a tea. A bit predictable and a couple of typos, but a sweet read to curl up with.

Try as I might, I could not stay with this book because the writing style did not command my attention. I tossed it out.

She was a Tomboy

He felt defeated because what happened in the past. His Aunt and Uncle were not what they thought. The story had a lot of twists and turns to get them together.

This is a sweet romance set in Florida after the Civil War. Angel is a tomboy, raised in an all-male household after her mother’s death, with little in the way of social graces. She wants no part of men or marriage. Elias is a boy running from a shameful event in his life. He doesn’t feel worthy of anyone’s affection. Their awkward first meeting, with Angel dressed in pants, a big smelly shirt, old floppy hat, rifle and a turkey she shot over her shoulder, is comical. Obviously, since this is a ...more

Angel really was an Angel!

I'm normally not a novella kind of reader, but this one held onto me just as any fully written mystery love story would have. I enjoyed it from beginning to end and read it all in one setting and found the length to be perfect for other things I needed to do tonight. The romance was perfect with just enough murder mystery mixed in to create a balance that equalled genius. I loved it and would definitely recommend it if you are a romantic and actually even if you are not

I am giving this sweet and yet. not so sweet mystery and romance ebook five stars as I really liked the work that she had put into it! Making the characters seem to come alive so one might even think at times that those same characters were right there close in your area where one lives! It was a page turner for sure! I received this ebook free and recommend this ebook for those mature and adults only! So, in exchange for this free ebook I have given an honest reciew! A short but concise! Great ...more

Cute story set in the 1800s about a girl raised in an all-male household after her mother died. When her best friend's cousin is set to meet her, she is anything but girly! While he is trying to figure her out, they both have swore never to fall in love, but they are strongly attracted to each other. That part of the story would be enough, but suddenly there is a murder mystery thrown in! (Bonus!) Worth the read! I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.

Kind of a surprising ending. Was entertaining and enjoyed the storytelling of a girl who thinks her life will be one way but finds it to be quite different. I

I think most anyone would enjoy the book, but it was a little confusing at the beginning to understand where the story was heading.

Simple plot. Just okay story.

Three stars because it is well-written. The plot is very simple. The dialogue is okay. But I felt no passion for this story. It felt immature in the long run. Just okay for me.
